I am ready to finish the game in time for Lara. There is a book I want to finish also.

I also ran out of cool mods to play.

I think I am in the final mission. I put well over 120 hours in so its well worth the price I paid for.

I started a new character yet again so I could try out survival mode. I didn't feel like normal was challenging enough.

So far, it hasn't been too bad. I'm level 28 now. Honestly, I've had to check a few times to make sure it was in fact on survival mode. It wasn't until level 15 or so that I started seeing legendary enemies on a regular basis (or at all actually). Plus, a lot of enemies seemed just as easy as they were on normal. Then, I'd run into a hard one out of nowhere just walking down the street.

This build focuses on stealth attacks and strong criticals. I use melee weapons and pistols mostly. I have high agility and luck, decent strength, moderate perception and charisma, no endurance or intelligence.

It hasn't been that bad so far. The only hard part is boss fights where I can't use stealth. My character is sort of a glass cannon. I am using upgraded leather armor for now. I may upgrade to combat armor soon. I don't know.

I can kill enemies very quickly. The only time they appear as bullet sponges is if I lose my stealth or can't use my criticals. As as test, I tried killing that deathclaw near the sinkhole. He was legendary this time (although all I got was a crummy armor piece). I still managed to kill him by myself with stealth criticals using my special sword I found in the mine to the east of the map. So, this build can definitely dish out pain, I just can't take it, lol.

Using a bit of melee has helped me save a bunch of ammo. I have also made some fights easy by disarming the enemies, which is a nice bonus of melee focus. I use one of my pistols for ranged kills, and they do okay. With Righteous Authority's extra critical damage, plus some luck critical damage perks, it can do some good damage with a headshot. I keep my 10mm or pipe pistol for normal enemies.

I've brought out the power armor from the Brotherhood a couple times, though I still can't take many hits with it. I can't upgrade it anymore since I don't have any intelligence.

I am using Danse as a companion so I can finish up his quest. I don't know if maxing out companions relies on keeping them for a certain time or finishing the Brotherhood campaign. I guess I'll find out.

I keep starting this game over. Like I said before, it's a bad habit for me with RPGs, lol. Maybe I just enjoy building up a fresh character from scratch. Well, anyway, I'll try to actually finish the game someday. Maybe with this character, who knows.

While I was redecorating my room at The Castle I noticed that I had 3 new paintings available to create. Judging by who's in those paintings, they unlock after a certain side-quest.

Damn, it'd be nice if all side quests unlocked a little something.

Tried out some new mods today. There are so many cool mods I'm anxious to use, but saving them for my 2nd play through.

New pip boy map 8k resolution

Thought mods would work on the Xbox version?

Also is it possible to find out where you sent companions?

Not yet. Mods do not work with any consoles at the moment

No, there is no indication where a companion goes, although some tend to hang out at some preset locations, if you do not manually assign them to a particular settlement. If you ask them to go to some random location,s you just have to try your luck & fast travel to all locations to find them.

Unless you have PC, then & you can use console commands to command them to 'teleport' to you.

I'm hoping someone can help me, it'd sure save me a hell of a lot of time. A couple days ago I finally maxed out Macready's affinity and he gave me a small wooden toy as "payment" for helping him.

My question is: Do all companions give you some kind of trinket for maxing affinity and completing their quest?

As far as I know., They usually end with a conversion & a pop out that said you have max affiliation & the max affiliation bonus.

Macready affiliation is the best due to a bug they have refused to fix (last checked) that give 95% headshot accuracy under VATS at any range.

I think you get something for each companion. I got max affinity for Piper and got a perk or something i think. She was easy to max out, all you had to do was lock pick things or hack terminals.

Yeah I think they all at lest give a perk for sure. I got max with cait and got a perk but I don't remember getting an item.

The perk for Piper is XP bonus when you find new locations

I'm more interested in the supposed hardcore survival mode update I keep hearing about here and there. I have no idea what it is, but I like the sound of it. Survival mode did not live up to its name in its vanilla form. Hopefully, what I hear is true, and they have actually listened to their fans.

The only downside is I may have to start a new character yet again. My survival mode guy is level 32 or so, and suddenly changing difficulty mid game just feels weird to me.

I am going to put the game on hold until I hear more about this.

Yep. Going from $29.99 to $49.99. They're kinda forcing my hand here.

In case you're wondering what the Season Pass will contain......

“This is our way of saying thanks to all our loyal fans who have believed in us and supported us over the years,” the company writes.

 I know they might be referring to people who purchased it before they raise the price, but damn, 80 bucks for a season pass is really tough. I wonder if people will blow up about this as much as they did over battlefront, who also seemed to forget that they did the same thing with the Battlefield series. Which I purchased because I knew I would get my moneys worth in entertainment, maybe not so much for this though.

Curie is my fav so far. I keep picturing Sheldon from Big Bang Theory having moments of extreme titillation with her.

I have to get back to playing F4. I've completed about 1/4 of the map (the upper left corner).

As for the DLC, forget it. Unless the DLC is free (360 Oblivion had a free update where you can find a special dagger quest), I've never bothered with any Bethesda expansion.

The games are so big already, by the time I finish these games, it's total burn out.

Yeah I know how you feel. Luckily it's been quite a while now since I beat it so by the time the DLC releases it should be fresh.

Oh wow... Finally figured out how to wait...

I'm torn by these choices. I'm not like the brotherhood at all. Although that bloke you meet in the power armour sounds like George Clooney.

Think this game will go on sale during the XBOX Spring Sale? Been having dreams about buying this game, and my dreams never lie to me.

Good stuff. Don't have a season pass, but may wait for at least 1 more DLC push to see if I really want it.
