Bethesda Softworks - Fallout 4 Leak?
http://www.rpgwatch.com/#24254

MotoringCrunch has another rumor for Fallout 4 this time supposedly a PR leak from a Reddit user called GNR_Informant who says that he has a friend who works in Public Relations at Bethesda.

You know the drill by now so grab the salt on your way out.

First and foremost, the game will take place in Boston, and be kind of a direct sequel to Fallout 3 with a few groups returning. From what it sounds like, “The Institute” is pretty much the downtown DC or New Vegas of this game. Boston is going to be unlike anything we’ve seen in a Fallout game before, with buildings more on par with cyberpunk and retro-futurism.

Bethesda has no plans to reinvent the leveling up system to make it more like Skyrim and want to make Fallout 4 more distinct from Skyrim since of the complaints that Oblivion and Fallout 3 were too similar. Bethesda is thinking about introducing a system, similar to Skyrim, where your skills can level up if you perform certain tasks.

Androids play a big part in this game. The railroad from Fallout 3 is a faction. The enemies of the railroad is “the Plantation” — a group who force Androids to farm so that Humans can get food. The Institute is highly advanced and probably obtained or built their own GECK to start a farm.

Due to complaints about using Super Mutants and the Brotherhood of Steel in Fallout 3 excessively and going against the lore too much, Bethesda has decided to avoid using these groups. Bethesda wants to make a new “race” (think Ghoul, Super Mutant) which will be central to Boston. Bethesda is currently looking at Lovecraftian fiction since Boston is around “Lovecraft Country”.

'Fallout 4' Rumor: Three Dog Voice Actor Hints at a Secret Project
http://8th-circuit.com/content/fallout-4-rumor-three-dogs-voice-actor-hints-secret-project

Development on Fallout 4 may have been confirmed by the voice actor of Fallout 3's Three Dog. Earlier today, Erik Dellums tweeted, “Back from voicing top-secret game!! Only I, the developers of the game and US Military Industrial Complex have details! Smile! #Thankful.”

This isn't the first time that Dellums has dropped some hints. Earlier this year, the actor tweeted, "To all my #Fallout3 and #ThreeDog fans: There may be more of the Dog coming! Fingers crossed!"
In recent months, Bethesda has been playing very coy in regards to the next Fallout title. Back in June though, Bethesda vice president Pete Hines reported that the entire Skyrim team had been moved to a new project unrelated to the upcoming Elder Scrolls MMO. Additionally, Bethesda has been staffing up for an undisclosed "next-gen" title.
Could it be Fallout 4? I sure hope so.

bet it will be announced at VGA, just like skyrim was

VGA
Then watch for the 11th edition of the Video Game Awards -- "the Oscars of video games" -- as they are televised live on Spike TV tenatively scheduled for a 9PM ET airing on Friday, December 6, 2013.

I hope it is in the works and hope it gets announced sooner rather than later. I really enjoyed the 2 fallout games this gen, and a next gen offering should be superb.

Yeah. Can't wait for the new fallout game. I hope this time they let you play on after the end of Game and we don't need to wait for a patch for that function.

I agree, but I do not think Todd will repeat that mistake

I am really waiting for fallout 4.. and on next gen, to boot:D:banana:

I believe spike will announce the people that be there [VGA] mid November
I do not remember if in 2011 they said Bethesda game studios would be there or not
because, for me that would be a dead give away

I hope so but remember Fallout new Vegas did repeat that error. I know it was a different developer but all the same.

that's true
but I do not think BGS, after all the fan furor over that ending will repeat it
Todd is a smart man, he reminds me of an elf from skyrim

this was waaay back in june.. so I think it is time to announce it
I guess I need to bug the BGS forums more

Todd Howard’s next game looking “awesome,” don’t expect news on it anytime soon
http://www.vg247.com/2013/06/13/tod...-awesome-dont-expect-news-on-it-anytime-soon/

Speaking with OXM, Bethesda’s Pete Hines said what Howard and company are working on is “already really awesome

Todd Howard, at this point, has earned the right to do what the hell he wants; nobody gets to tell him different and nobody gets to dictate to him what he gets to do.

“You’re laughing because you know it’s true. He gets to do whatever he wants. Him and his team are moving forward with the stuff that they want to work on and where they want to go next in making games. I get to see it and it’s already really awesome, but it’s probably helpful to note that anyone who thinks that what he’s working on next is going to be talked about soon doesn’t understand game development.
“Give these guys time and space: expect it never and be surprised if it’s any time before then.”

Can Bethesda Make Fallout 4 The Best Game Of The Next Generation?

Everything I Know About Fallout 4
First things first, I know that Fallout 4 is currently in active development at Bethesda. They recently announced they would not be releasing anymore DLC for Skyrim because it was time to move the team to the next project, that next project is Fallout 4. It was in pre-production months before Skyrim even launched.
There have been reports of team members from Bethesda scouting locations in Boston and it's surrounding area. In the Fallout mythology, Boston is now called the Commonwealth, which his home to the Institute. The Institute posses highly advanced technology and are capable of creating cyborgs who can pass as human. Dr. Zimmer was one such scientist from the Institute featured in the quest The Replicated Man from Fallout 3, he was on the hunt for an escaped prototype android who was far superior to previous models. This was one of the more memorable quests in the game.

Bethesda always sends staff to scout locations before development kicks off. So I take this as a pretty strong indication that Boston is the setting for Fallout 4. Also Three Dog voice actor Erik Todd Dellums confirmed he was in negotiations to possibly reprise his role as the charismatic DJ.

I guess its time to start bugging mr hines.. lol
he more or less leaked skyrim
when, I think it was a tweet
that a game you have been waiting for forever was being mentioned??
or something like

I'm sure this is coming. It's only a matter of when. There was a leaked document earlier in the year at the Sony reveal that said Bethesda were working on a next gen Sci find rpg. I wonder what that might be. ;)

CANNOT wait for Fallout 4. Going to have a beast PC to play it on and the mods...

Oh, the mods...

The mods alone are going to be better than 80% of all the games released next generation on ANY platform.

P.S. I'll never get over how many people want to continue to play the game once the story is over. It makes absolutely no sense to me. If you want to keep playing then why not do everything then wrap up the story? They did that sh*t with FO3 and completely broke the story continuity. Thankfully Obsidian stuck to their guns with FONV. While I admit it would have been cool to see the world changed after you made your deals with all the factions and companions the technical limitations just made it impossible.

These are RPG's. They offer a lot content beyond mere story. Some people like to do just the story and then everything after. Some people just do stuff as they come across it. others do everything before finishing the story...etc. Adding a small feature that is present in 99% of RPG's is not too much to ask.

That was all I wanted from E3 this year was a Fallout 4 annoucement. I didn't even need any game play. Just play the song (can't remember title), show a brotherhood of steel on screen and I was sold. Please show me something at the VGA's......

"expect it never and be surprised if it’s any time before then" lol

If I haven't bought a next-gen console by the time Fallout 4 arrives, that will be my cue.

There's no way they are going to try to stretch the Gamebyro engine again, so I imagine this is going to take a while, since that is all Bethesda has worked with for a decade (?), and they'll be working with an entirely new engine this time. Should be interesting to see the end product.

I played the crap out of Fallout 3 since release. With replays and going through the DLC a few times, I'm probably somewhere in the 400 hour range.

So yeah, big anticipation here.

Remember how Skyrim made it's debut on the VGA's? Not putting too much hope in this, but only a simple confirmation of Fallout 4 in development during VGA would make me go completely bats*** crazy.I LOVE Fallout 3, more so than Oblivion and Skyrim, and i absolutely can't wait to find out what they are doing for Fallout 4. Ít's prettymuch a given that it's coming. No way we;ll first see another TES. Imagine VGA's announcing something and we then see a Fallout Enclave soldier coming up. Ooooh myyy that be sweet.

I mean, really, if Bethsoft doesn't develop Fallout 4, that would be like saying no to millions of dollars in profit.

We all know it will sell, we all want it.

They will give it to us. They MUST give it to us.

Got a response from Twitter.

@UnionVGF check http://www.reddit.com/r/gaming/comments/16cgj0/pal_of_mine_works_in_public_relations_at_bethesda/c7va2pq… - everyone forwards a post from a doubtful site and a doubtful author, but sadly it's 100% fake...
It was a little obvious it was fake.. it "might be this" it "might be that".. and contradictions left and right.

Like this hilarious one:

Bethesda plans to make the leveling system just like Skyrim.

???

Profit

The internet is chalk full of people making fake LiveJournal/Reddit/PasteBin stuff up and it's starting to make discussions a bit painful on forums. We need to literally ignore 100% of these rumors.

Fallout 4 would make next gen for me, nuff said.

I've been toying with the idea of doing a YT channel, just for fun because I want to use some material I'd get a strike for if I tried to make money. I honestly think that when FO4 comes around is when I'll start said channel.

but the three dog stuff IS real, verified by Bethesda way back at the start of the year
http://www.pcgamer.com/2013/01/09/fallout-3-voice-actor-sequel/
Dellums' second tweet revealed Bethesda beamed its blessing to broadcast the clue, but the studio predictably stopped short of outright confirming another Fallout.

I have been a member of the Bethesda forums since oblivion was released

Fallout has become one of my favorite games over the past 2 iterations, as I hadn't played a Fallout prior to them. I am looking forward to a next gen Fallout.

I will be happy with whatever they give us

but I would like mods for the consoles
I think the console sony/Microsoft do not allow mods?

I think todd howard will do right by the gamers, and whatever he is working on now he is also working on the game after that one.. that's how he rolls
oblivion 2006
fallout 3 2008
skyrim 2011
so they are over due for a game
fallout NV was made by obsidian 2010

Fallout 4's development was confirmed by Fallout 3 and New Vegas's great sales.

We'll get details when we get details was the point of calling out the fake rumor crap.
