Fallout 76

I am up for somekind of survival stuff,as long as it's not super busy like SoD2,meaning not as big on managing for others and everything being on a huge timer...I want quests that I can do solo if I please, mixed in with NPC or other players as well and optional building like in Fallout 4...

Not going to complain about more Fallout but i want Elder Scrolls 6 now.

My feelings exactly.

They better be deep into development on that and I'd like to see something at E3 on it or I'll be dissapointed.

Just give us a taste of what's happening on the ES6 front.

I played too much Fallout in too short a span of years (3, New Vegas, 4) and replayed NV before 4 and I like FO4 but I burnt myself out a bit.

But Elder Scrolls, I need that next s*** bad and at the latest by fall 2019.

I'm wondering if they are afraid what a single player campaign would do to the online one. I want nothing to do with ES Online.

The obvious improvement is visual, Finally, we have some PBR & current-gen visual in a fallout game. Otherwise, very little was known about the game.

Maybe just a place holder, but seems oddly specific. Release date might be as early as July 31.

ESO wasn’t that bad. And it had a huge story campaign for each faction. There was honestly tons and tons of content with it.

I honestly wouldn't mind something like PUBG, but with a Fallout twist. I just imagine running into someone with power armor then seeing them get hit with Fatboy round. BOOM. I would also want something like Ferial Ghouls in PvP to make it interesting.

Didn't Fallout 4 have the same type of release? Thought they announced it at their E3 event and then it launched that fall, with very little known of the game prior to E3.

I hope this isn’t ESO levels of online dependency. My only thought is that if this is the case naming it Fallout 76 would be very confusing.

"Cool, interesting, and just as story-focused as any Bethesda game." That's the part that stood out to me. That's good news.

He doesn't say Survival though. Could this be another Destiny, Division, Anthem type of game instead?

Yeah, he's just saying multiplayer RPG, and that base-building is involved. I don't see anything about it being survival-oriented. Otoh, Fallout has had survival modes in the past, so that might be an optional way to play.

I'm hoping it isn't just multiplayer. I hope it has room for us solo players, too.

Wait I'm confused. So this is something similar to ESO but in the Fallout universe?

Sounds like it. That being said, I am not interested in Fallout 76 at this point.

I am a little more intrigued now. Those games like Ark or Day Z just never looked all that good to me. But something like Division/Destiny I can have fun with. Haven't played Elder Scrolls Online so not sure how that really differentiates apart from being a 'live' game.

I can't imagine them just ditching solo players. I mean their entire Fallout user-base is pretty much based on solo play.

I've spent hundreds of hours on Fallout 3, and almost as many in Fallout 4, but there's one thing that I find completely jarring about this new game...

It's the end of the world, and you design a pair of coveralls. Great.

You put the vault number on the back? Awesomeness.

You make it gold lamè/pleather? Fabulous!

But you use plastic fasteners without grommets to prevent the fabric from tearing?!? A game breaking mistake! If the suits are utilitarian, why aren't there grommets?!

This is worse than the Chewbacca defence...

That's what micro-transactions are for silly!

Now you know why the most popular Nexus Character mods for Fallout 4 are the nude mods.
Yes, I did 'try' some nude mods, but only for science.

So, in the end, this is just a typical Fallout RPG? No MMO online or online survival stuff or anything..at least not going by that trailer. I didn;t enjoy Fallout 4 at all, so not likely to enjoy this one neither...the whole online/survival thing at least added a certain amount of intrigue.

We'll find out tonight.

I read somewhere that apparently there are no NPC's.

Wut
From what I heard there are no NPCs in this game. Everybody you meet will be human. They do still have robots in the game, though. There main function seems to be for getting quests. Not entirely sure how this will work, though. A world 4x bigger than Fallout 4 but only populated by dozens of people, not hundreds.

What is cool is that you can build a shop..which likely means you can sell all your scavenged stuff. So you could make ammo via crafting and then sell it.

Also nice is that others can't fully destroy your home, but they can damage it. When you log off all your stuff logs out with you.
