There are no expansions here. All you are really paying for is 5 days early access, car pass, and a car pack....8 cars I think.

I don't think this is the same as requiring a persistent online connection. It probably just means there is only a digital code inside and/or requires internet for PvP and updates.

Not sure. @Pureshooter made a good point. It could be that the "physical" copy is just a disc check verification and the game needs to be downloaded.
