I can't speak for the series. Never played much of it so I don't have any nostalgic value toward it. I just see a game, try it out, and decide if I like it or not.
 
October's Games with Gold titles have been revealed by Major Nelson. They are... Might and Magic Clash of Heroes and Halo 3!

Yay Might and Magic Clash of Heroes! Halo 3, I already got it the day it came out many years ago. Great game. Everybody needs to get this game. Hopefully, it'll pick up more players online now.
 
I hope people that don't own Halo 3 will truly enjoy it. I won't be downloading this, as my HDD is nearly full (and I own it on disk).
 
Ill start the DL to get my free copy but didn't Bungie say not to play Halo 3 off a HD?
 
Didn't read the article, but don't they mean install off the disc. Not a direct download.
 
Already got Halo 3. People who are late to the game should get it. It's a great game for its time.
 
MS has lots of grounds to make up against playstation in south africa. All my friends from there who are into gaming talk is playstation. I dont know if Banjo would be too familiar a game name in SA. They shouldve done a call of duty.

I'm sure Activision still makes to much money from COD to give it away for free...

Its pretty much the same thing as the game is running off the Harddrive which Bungie don't recommend.

MS should have IMO given Reach or ODST rather than 3.

I thought it was fun though and I think it's worth the play.

Games with Gold is just awesome. The fans spoke and Microsoft listened. They're always open to new ideas.

Plently of folks are playing online, still. I've noticed that most of them are playing in Team Slayer mostly. I just played couple of matches few days ago and I enjoyed it. The graphic and gameplay does feel bit "old" but I did enjoyed it. :)
 
Yeah, that's what I am expecting to see next week. I probably will join the club and hopefully, with the game being free, more people will come out and play online. Halo 3 is still good!!!
