Clearly just trolling.

Xbox owners aren't choosing to subscribe to gold they have to if they want to play online. They can't just say sod it I'll play online for free on PS cause they have to pay for PSLive

They are however choosing to sub to gamepass which is 100% optional.

ALL subscription services are 100% optional.
Not every Xbox owner plays multiplayer games,some choose single player,GP and some who play multiplayer choose Gold or GPU.

No matter the continued spins Gold is bigger than GP for MS at this time PERIOD.

Nobody is talking about PS.

MS are happy to kill it through crap offerings.

XBLG is much larger and growing partially "because as you put it" it's one of the required options to play online.
Crap offerings isn't enough for it to stop being a bigger service than GP.
Numbers don't lie most gamers care more about the ability to game online with there friends then they do about limited rental service.
GPU would have to pass it in active subscribers and not only that but MS would have to trend carefully if they killed off XBLG.


I didn't name another service and I was asked a question.

XBLG and GWG are not the same thing. XBLG is a service. GWG is a perk of that service. Killing GWG isn't killing XBLG.

When did anyone say GP was bigger than Gold? Oh that's right never. What was said is GP is 100% choice but you need Xbox Live Gold to play online which is the reason people sub to Gold not any of the other things that now comes with it like GWG.


GP does make GWG pointless though and MS clearly don't care about it anymore as its clear by what they offer.

And no one asked you a question you simply moaned about the "other service"

I just bought Planet Alpha in the last sale! Luckily it was only 3 bucks and it’s pretty good. Crazy visuals.

You do realize GWG is basically a sorry ass looking bone that is getting thrown really for the Gold only subscribers at this point with GP being their main focus (GPU users really don't give much of a f*ck about GWG). The last year or so has been brutal. That said, I'm actually excited for both Conker (never finished this on OG Xbox) and Midway Arcade. I'm a gamer from the old skool and getting these older games/retro compilations for "free" is nice. Overall, the prevailing thought was that MS was going to ditch Gold and maybe they will when GP/GPU subs get to the 30+ million mark. I'd likely keep GPU for occasional play on PC and xCloud play. I do really think they need to do a yearly sub for both GP and GPU though....month to month (or 3 month) increments is stupid especially when there is no discount. Hard to say if/when those numbers make sense but removing Gold requirement to play online could potentially drive a lot more folks to the platform who could then be upgraded to GP/GPU. I'm bad at math so maybe it doesn't really add up in the end and Gold will never go away...

Oh and as an aside, why the f*ck Conker isn't already in Gamepass is a mystery. All MS published games that are back compat should be in there!

Whether you like it or not GWG has MUCH MORE subscribers than GP.
These off topic GP mentions and the constant GWG bashing is TROLLING.

Pathetic. No one buys gold for GWG they do it just for online play.
GWG is not it's own subscription service.

People buy GP because its a great deal and its growing. Fast.

I can’t imagine anyone here is reporting anyone.
