Is this gonna be a 2020 release? I haven't seen anything yet about it.
They wouldn't commit to 2019, which to me says 2020. Maybe early 2020, if we're lucky.
edit: mw is right, it could be a PS5 launch title.

Well the Sucker Punch is an experienced developer, so I feel like 2019 is likely. I wonder if they are using an ALL NEW engine or an existing engine completely updated. If it is existing, then 2019 could be a no brainer. The game has been in development for over 4 and a half years. It wouldn't surprise me if it comes out next year but Sony won't commit to release dates till its closer to being finished like they did with God Of War. PSX might be more indicative of how far along the game is.
That is kinda racist of Dani Jo.
Oh SNAP!!! LOL That is awesome.Click on it to see the rest or hit the right arrow by the pic
In-engine means NOT actual real-time gameplay visuals. It’s one of those word play. I understand why developers do that ( because you don’t want to shows visuals you think will fall short of final polished product) , but they should be upfront about it instead of using misleading wordplay.
Now for the game itself. I think the game look promising, and a breath of fresh air from the usual medieval backdrop.
Gameplay presentation doesn't mean real-time. Unless you mean they have a demo. Then obviously it is realtime. Anyway, I only get the "in-engine" from one of the tweets. In engine simply means the output is rendered from a game engine. It can be much lower frame rate packed to be 30-60fps, or real-time, but run on much more powerful hardware, or real-time on actual software, however, there is no reason a developer that actually shows real-time visuals will use other words other than "real-time" or "in-game footage".There were live gameplay presentations for the press, not sure if you were saying this video was "in engine" and not gameplay or something else? This was gameplay though.

I am not condemning the developers, but I hate misleading words. Remember the wordplay MS purposely use to make people think Rise of the tomb Tomb Raider is exclusive to MS. From memory, I think it was along the line of, "Rise of tomb raider, coming exclusively to Xbox in the Holiday", misleading people to think it will not be released for PS4, when it really means timed exclusive. You think MS does not know to use the word "Timed-Exclusive", a term everyone knows, instead of the vague statement they released.
Then my info is wrong. My bad. Kudos to them.Oh yeah "in engine" is often used and I hate that as well, a game never looks as good as the "in engine" videos that are put out. That being said they did play this live for people so it's actual gameplay not just in engine.
