A game changer as per DF

It's the quality of the games that will make or break PlayStation VR2 - and launch titles supplied in the review period did not quite convince. Gran Turismo 7 was made available to journalists and public alike at the headset's launch - and it's a game-changer. In this video, John breaks down how good the VR upgrade is, and how Sony achieved it, with head-to-head comparisons with the standard 'flat' version of the game.

It's funny, All the influencers on youtube did the initial " Oh WOW!! Game changer" video and now I'm not seeing many of them use it. lol.

Kireth just exposed all the BS footage showing PSVR2 not looking like all the PSVR2 footage we have seen. PSVR2 in GT7 looks ass, like 720P level muddiness and blurriness, with poor LOD at short distances.

Decisions decisions decisions, who to believe, a guy wearing Xbox shirt or DF 🤔

I guess I will have to try it out sometime in store to see.

Blurry compared to a native 4K tv maybe ?

Or just blurry like mud thrown on ?
Did you even watch the video? He records the actual VR footage, not the social screen footage like every other video. It doesn't look great at all.

Not yet. I'm on mobile at work need to wait till I get home to watch 😆

My experience is this so far:

- The PQ isn't pristine, but it is better than the Rift 2, which I also have. Don't expect a 4K TV image.
- Compared to the original PSVR it is miles better, specifically in terms of resolution and black levels.
- Positioning the headset properly is huge. Here is an article about how having the headset positioned correctly can help alleviate blur:

Getting this "sweet spot" it discusses is more difficult than the Rift 2, so you just need to spend some time calibrating everything at the start.

Got this now.

My local Game store had a digital code for £35. Snapped that up.
celebrate fuck yeah GIF

That red car was driving like a real douche.
Yep, but he is expert...what can you do, lol.

There is a few issues with the Sophie AI. They don't really follow racing rules. They can be way too aggressive in braking areas.

The haptic feedback in this game with the PS5 controller is absolutely terrible. It literally gives you no feedback at all, you have no clue what the car is doing.

I played Forza 7 on my XSS the other week and the feedback I got just with rumble was far, far superior. I can tell what the brakes are doing and if the car is trying to get out of shape underbraking. I can tell when I throttle too hard on the exit of a corner. I can tell when grip is lost. I can tell the car is understeering.

In GT7 with haptic feedback I get none of that. You feel completely disconnected from the car all the time.

Am I missing something here? Is there some setting in GT7 i should change to improve this?

That's a good question. I feel the same as you.

Nothing of worth there, unfortunately....well except the laughter at the praise for the feedback.

Nice racing! But my god why do cars always look jerky in online racing? (In Forza too)
Don't feel jerky. Also depends what you drive on. Some curbs on that track make your car act weird. Driver inputs.

All I know is it doesn't feel jerky and it is fun.

Although, How is there no voice chat yet again? So weird and silly that this basic feature is still missing...in Sport mode at least anyway,
