Too true. But don't take away popular pop-culture characters away from gamers who wish to have fun in taking digital control of one of their favorite heroes like Sony did with SPIDERMAN. It's like it's cool when Sony shuts gamers down but when they get it done to them all of a sudden they are the VICTIM.
Well they technically only took it away from a self contained, separate universe, game. Spider-Man is still multiplatform in different games, like fortnite, Lego and midnight suns, mobile.

2 AAA first party studio games in Halo Infinite and Forza Horizon 5 entering year 3 in just over a month. That's good enough for you?
You are concerned about timing? Well, I don't know what to say there. They won't release games until they are ready. Grounded is coming out tomorrow though. We also know what they have coming in the first 6 months of 2023.

Well yeah did you buy a new console just to play 2 AAA games entering year 3 of a console's life cycle ? Knowing that a 1/4 or more of the console's life has gone by already? I mean I don't speak for everyone but I'm pretty sure there is only a handful of people being happy about this here if any.

COVID played a part for sure but at least be on par with Sony and Nintendo who seem to having not as much issues releasing titles.

Halo infinite? Or too soon 😆

Except Halo Infinite is a good game. It just has features that are forthcoming that are typically part of the core game, so technically incomplete.

It's easier to release a game that is "complete" when you cut major pieces of the game and never intend to release meaningful updates.

Hard to say it's a good game period... game mechanics? Possibly. Content is too thin and dry as a live service game and if that's what it is trying to be, it's not doing very well.

It was a +80 metacritic game at launch for single player and multiplayer. Content since then has been too thin for a live service game, but it was received positively in its launch state.

Which means the gameplay and mechanics are good. Just doesn't have content to be a good live service game is what I'm saying. Hopefully forge and coop will help.

Longest and most content filled campaign to date for any Halo game. Hardly dry or thin.

It's an 87 on Opencritic.

Other games close to it:

Horizon Forbidden West - 88
Gran Turismo 7 - 88
Ratchet & Clank Arift Apart - 89
Spider-Man Miles Morales - 85
The Last of Us Part 1 - 88

Unless scores (and personal experience playing) don't count anymore? I guess we could say it's hard to say those games are good.

You probably played more multiplatform AAA than exclusives then.

Yup. But you said:

Well yeah did you buy a new console just to play 2 AAA

And they have had more than just those two AAA exclusives. For example, Flight Simulator 2022 is a 92 rated AAA game that is Xbox exclusive. PS only has one game that is rated that good, and it's a PS3 game.

Haven't played the campaign yet since I'm waiting on coop still

So you're saying the content in Halo now is suffice? Interesting. Let's see those hours you've put into Halo so far then

You know what I meant. Don't play the semantics game. The releases are few and farther in between compared to both Sony and Nintendo. Flight Sim came out in 2020 and just the fact you needed to include the console port to add to the list shows how dry it's been.

A console port? Wha? It’s an Xbox and PC game just like Halo Infinite.

I have 60 hours in the Halo campaign and I don’t even have everything yet.

MS got JinCA in full rage mode lol.
Not at all just responding to what's being said, I already own an xbox and nothing is being taken away from me I just think it's silly to pretend this is MS doing something good. If I only owned an xbox I'd have access to every single one of these games already anyway.

Now we know why Sony is moving to multi platform and third party.

I am curious JinCA DriedMangoes yankeessuck

Since the OG XBox launched to what they’ve done in recent years, what should MS have done to get a leg up/compete in this industry? We saw what happened to Sega and plus Nintendo had a 1980’s head start and Sony a 1990’s head start.
What they should have done was kept investing in new high-quality AAA first party IP during the second half of the 360 gen and not focused on kinect, that was the beginning of a lot of their problems. Almost all of their biggest IP were created before MS bought the particular studio that made them, that would be fine if this were still the OG xbox but they are 20 years in now and should have more hit IP's that were created in house than they do. They need stronger leadership that keeps studios on track and actually has them releasing games as close to on time as possible but they also need that leadership to push studios creatively to come up with new games/characters that can lure new customers in.

It was a PC game at first, then they ported over to console. Took a whole year to do it too (not that there's anything wrong with that).

60 hours?! Holy smokes, you're doing it wrong if howlongtobeat is anything to trust by :hehe:

It’s true!

Microsoft announced a new installment at E3 in 2019, simply titled Microsoft Flight Simulator, to be released initially on PC and ported over to the Xbox Series X at a later date. On July 12, 2020, Microsoft opened up preorders and announced that Microsoft Flight Simulator for PC will be available on August 18, 2020.

If it was built side by side , they would have released at the same time or at least right at launch.
