They have Wo Long as Gamepass to make up for it. Sony was the publisher and NiOh was an exclusive title signed between Sony and Koei Tecmo.
Mass Effect was published by MS, didn't stop it from being released for playstation.

3rd party exclusive to one console = Good
Soon to be first party could become exclusive = Bad

What difference does that make? If one platform never had it somehow it is more acceptable to keep it off?
MS could have had the IP and made it exclusive
And decided not to make a property they didn't own exclusive.

That can't be right. I've been told that it is silly to say that Sony is anything but transparent with such dealings.
Xbox only players would have the same access already to these titles, the only thing these acquisitions are doing is just making it solely exclusive to them and blocking other platforms. How is this any more consumer friendly than making third party exclusive deals? This is worse.
Yeah they just decided to make a whole publisher's property exclusive instead.
You're right, the Bethesda and Activision deals are way bigger than these third party ones.

They also bought one of the biggest IPs around in Minecraft and have kept its updates and new content MP when they didn't have to.
Well then they should continue that tradition with these acquisitions, don't you agree?

If I remember right that was because Sony agreed to cross platform? MS stopped updates for a time while Sony cried and tried to claim they wouldn't be able to protect younger gamers or some similar nonsense.

Calling it now(as have others). MS said 3 years, after that include *missing feature* or it's going exclusive
I'll be playing it on Gamepass either way since it's a MP game and PC it is for that so no biggie.
Just saw your edit - so Sony is keeping its own platform exclusive confirmed for matchmaking in MW whereas MS is making it open cross platform with PC?
Yea I'm on about 25 hours played, a couple of that is multiplayer and rest is campaign (up to the final boss), 11 hours must be plowing through it on easy.
