No, people just don't want to see a mega corporation start buying up the industry, especially one that's been trying mostly the right way for 20 years and hasn't been able to bring the majority of gamers to their product. It's leadership and lack of vision at MS that's the problem, they have a goal but they can't figure out how to make it happen so they just buy things instead.
Their way of dealing with a lack of exclusives isn't to create more high quality first party games like it should be they are now just resorting to buying a bunch of existing multiplatform devs/pubs/IP and taking their games and making them exclusive. That's not good for the industry, that's not creative that's just a predatory practice that shouldn't be allowed.
It's bad enough when Sony and MS buy timed exclusivity for games, neither one should do that but to just start taking over everything because you made a lot of money in other areas of business shouldn't be something people cheer on.

The guy is a clown, I still laugh when I think about a video he made on a financial report only to say in the video that he didn't really understand it and was going to have to ask someone about it and make another video, why upload that? lol. He's also very much trying to bait console war nonsense, he thinks he's found an audience with xbox only owners so he pushes a lot of crap then tries to pretend he's above it all.
Unfortunately, that's just how things are now. Its not just in gaming but in almost everything. In the past companies would invest heavily in research and development. But over the last few decades that's changed, instead of investing in research its just easier and cheaper to purchase the rival who has tech or whatever you want or need. To absorb someone else's idea with a purchase/merger instead of being creative themselves. And with people being too greedy and wanting a quick buck now most do in fact sell.
I don't think he was just an xbox correspondent, he started off doing video capture stuff it says, he eventually became a part of that unlocked show that they do. Ryan McCaffrey was their xbox guy from what I remember, which makes sense since he worked for the xbox magazine.

Sony has acquired over half of its studios, including Bungie, Housemarque, and Insomniac just in the past couple of years. Lets not act like Sony is just about creating quality games from the ground up. The only hardware maker than can legitimately claim that is Nintendo.
