Personally, I think now is the perfect time to buy a PS5. While the PS5's 2023 games look a little thin in terms of first party, you have the back catalogue of games to see you through the first 6 months or so, a bunch of them you can get cheap via PS Plus extra. End of year you have Spider-Man 2, and with first party being so thin means 2024 should be a good year in that regard.

This is why I am 90% sure I'm picking up a PS5 during the holiday period.

Ghost of Tshima DD
Demon's Souls
Horizon FW
Spider-Man MM
Returnal.
GOW Ragnarok.
Uncharted Collection. (Want to give this franchise another chance.)
Last of Us 2.
Spider-Man 2

All that Plus Xbox games like Starfield, Redfall, Forza Motorsport.

Plus all the 3rd party stuff.

My 2023 will be banging.

Yup. Having access to both PS/Xbox catalogues to get the best of both worlds is amazing, you won't ever run out of things to play.
 
I've played on my Series X every single day since getting it in late January. I don't think I've had a stretch that long even when I was a kid. I've put more times into gaming on it this year than the past 5 years on all combined devices.

Game was made for weaker hardware, but the morons ignore that little fact while trying to rewrite comments devs say.

What the devs actually said was Series S didn't hold back PS5 & XSX. "Why would it."
