A lot of doom and gloom around Halo.

Plenty of GAAS games have started slow with Season 1 and turned it around (Sea of Thieves, etc.)

Slow? Season 1 was garbage. Season 2 isn't looking good at this point either and it was 6 months in the making.
 
Is Halo Five supposed to have lot of maps? I’ve been playing the multiplayer because I feel it does certain stuff better than infinite. But I keep playing the same two maps in quick play.

343 keeps showing multiplayer images of the game and it doesn’t represent what it actually looks like in the game, but one big example is the spartan rank 152 reward.
 
New maps and modes can't come soon enough. If the base gameplay wasn't so much damn fun, I'd probably have given up on this ages ago. Not super into the tactical ops right now, mainly because the events challenges are frustrating to say the least. I played one battle rifle game in the beginning, and proceeded to not get another one for several days. I also wish they'd have kept the power-ups in for this event, to shake things up a bit. Tactical Slayer has been available to play for a while now, so having an event around it where the new variants are just weapons swaps is a bit disappointing to say the least. Still haven't gotten around to playing the campaign yet, but I'm thinking real soon.

I don't get why companies still do this. They think they can click their heels together 3 times and shout, "live service" and start printing money. They dedicate no resources towards actually making content. I play an hour and get some visor that's tinted slightly different from the one I have.

The sad part is, the game is fun. This is the most fun I've had in MP Halo since probably 3, and maybe even 2.
