Can't wait to see what kind of limited editions we get for this. Give me a nice steelbook case inside a cool box, and it'll be all I buy this holiday season.

Smells like a delay could be forthcoming. If it helps get the game to true next gen status then I'm all for it. Push it to March 2021 and launch it in a polished state.

If they do reboot the reboot, I hope they don't change the art direction too much. Just make what you have look better.

I love that color has returned to Halo.
4 & 5 were both kind of washed in a single color for each scene.

So now we have more than three confirmed developers working on this game.

343i
Skybox Labs
Sperasoft
+various internal MS studios

Glad to see MS is willing to put the money in to make sure the manpower is there... this will be left down to whether or not 343i has the leadership to execute because they certainly aren't starved for talent.

You really don't need a huge title at launch anyway the hardcore fans are going to buy the initial batch of consoles up through the holiday, that spring and then the 2nd holiday are when you need something big to keep the momentum going.

I don't know much about how many teams are working on the game but for Halo fans sake I hope that they have a good management system in place with this project, having that many separate groups working on one thing and making sure it all comes together in time isn't an easy task.

Im surprised they didn’t get certain affinity or any of the other former bungie employee teams to help out. But then again, when they let them do 4s mp it seems like most people didn’t like that.

No way will this be delayed. They'll put every XGS studio on this on order for it to make launch if they have to.

Honestly they'd be better off delaying it than releasing another game before it's really ready.

I'm confused. What is wrong with this game? It didn't look next gen? What's next gen gonna look like? Fans didnt like the art direction? Are we basing this on an 8 minute video?

All I know is it’s my second most anticipated up coming game this year behind Cyberpunk 2077. Gameplay looked tight and I can’t wait to see what MP looks like. Game looked fine to me although I could tell it was built with current gen in mind. I think it will look and play great come launch.

Ubisoft games are routinely developed by teams in different regions. If they can manage such large projects across different timezones it stands to reason MSFT Studios can do the same. Hopefully MSMFT Studios have a solid management team to guide the resources and talent in the right direction because even a team in the same house can fck things up without proper management....just look at what happened to Anthem.

Or look how they did MMC as well.

This is the big budget title they NEED one at launch.
Delay everything to the spring.
Gives them much needed time and people will have after the holidays income tax money.

You don't need a big game at launch, the hardcore fans will buy up all of the stock through Christmas, Spring is when a big game will be needed and then even more importantly next holiday IMO. Phil said they wouldn't delay the hardware for any game even Halo so while it seems they are doing everything they can to keep from delaying Halo if that happens they won't be holding the hardware back.

Ubisoft is used to doing that though, they've been doing it for years and across titles, they even opened up a huge studio in Shanghai to help with art across all of their titles. The difference between what they do and what's happening here is, they don't add devs 2 months before going gold to help try to finish the game. Management at MSGS has been an issue in some form since the OG xbox first launched and it seems like 343 has been having issues for a while as well. I do hope they do manage to pull things together for those that are looking forward to the game.

Yes you do especially if it's XB.
Will be a disaster if not.

They just need to show a video saying hey guys, this is what it looks like on the Series X at its full. Just a Youtube video upload, no live stream.
