Limbo secret level (I don't think this was originally available on 360)

Loved this game the first time around. It's short but it is fun, challenging, takes you somewhere else and the atmosphere is intense. Played it again a week or two ago when they made it free on XB0 and needed some help and found out about this level and somehow eventually made it through myself (was frustrating, especially the small circular saws in the dark)

Immediately pre-ordered Inside. I do not pre-order games but this one is $20 and I can only assume I will love the time I have with it just like Limbo.

Great reviews. Sounds like Xbox has a winner. Best-rated Xbox exclusive, from what I heard.

I didn't realize there was a possibility it might release for other consoles in the future. That would be good. I'd check it out. I didn't like Limbo all that much myself, so I'm not sure whether Inside would really be my cup of tea, but I'd give it a shot.

Anyhow, good for Xbox fans. Quality game, sounds like.

Seems good, played about 50 minutes. Mainly trial and error so far figuring out the puzzles.

So far it's not as good as Limbo puzzle wise IMO (more because Limbo's puzzles seemed more platform game based which I prefer), but I feel like there's a lot more to come and it'll get much more interesting. The "plot" or suspense of the unknown is much more intriguing than Limbo as it seems like there's some mystery to unravel in a way.

Atmosphere was better in Limbo. Again though I think I have quite a ways to go.

I'm posting on here because I am completely stuck and will have to watch a youtube walkthrough for this part so may as well take break first :)

Played it for a bit last night. Really digging it so far. Hope the puzzle difficulty ramps up though, they've been pretty simple so far.

I put this in the general Xbox thread, but I'll put it here too.

So, Inside is a really neat game. Lots of on the fly logic puzzles. Zero help or tutorials. Makes me think of a mix of Limbo, Abe's Oddessy, and Out of this World. Fantastic artwork and animation. It has those little details that make a game special. Control is smooth and intuitive, and it is VERY creative. The atmosphere is superb and full of tension. It's a bit pricey at 20 dollars, especially if you factor in that it is supposed to only be three or four hours long.

Still, it is very high quality, and I really want to signal to MS that I want more games like this.

50 min in? Where are you stuck? PM me or spoiler tag if you want some help. I should be well past that spot.

Loving it so far. And like Limbo, the death animations are just straight up morbid, which I also love. The attack dog ones are particularly gruesome.

And without going into detail the baby chicks in the beginning are hilarious in a 'tragic comedy' sort of way.

Looked into it last night. Sounds like Inside is a must have game. I hear it's easier than Limbo. I don't mind though, just give me the experience. Not sure when i'll get around to it, but i'm looking forward to it.

Oh, and congrats to Xbox fans for finally getting into the 90 Metacritic club for an exclusive. Although i'd be shocked if it's not on PS4 by this time next year.

20 bucks seems steep to me....

If you happen to be someone who is willing to buy <10 hour $60 single player games then you shouldn't find scoff at the value here. It does seem like it is another a game that is randomly $5 more than last gen but it is good so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯?

I buy games that I know I will play months at a time. 10 hour or less games that are only single player I wait a little while.

In no way am I scoffing at this game as I loved limbo and this game looks wonderful, but is it true it's only only a 4 to 5 hour long game?

Its length depends on how good you are at solving the puzzles.

I've become a very cheap bastard this gen (and developed this cheapness last gen, I figured out that a lot of games I don't need to play right away and they will fall to between $20-$30 after six months) and this was worth $20. Games are really expensive this gen and this is frankly very cheap. It's pocket change in this day and age for a wonderful experience.

It gets pretty crazy about half way through. Really amazing game design and creativity IMO. Felt longer than Limbo too by a fair margin.

Not as challenging as Limbo as far as platforming but it surpasses it in other ways which I won't talk about. Just give it a go!

It's also replayable like Limbo with the easter eggs. But it's basically a play it twice, mayyyyybe three times game at best, unless you want to try to beat it without dying even once, which I wouldn't bother trying myself

Doing some maths its like a 30/10 on the Highly critical famitsu scale. Been playing a X1 free Limbo the last few days, definitely picking this up right after I'm done.

Got the game last night. Oh boy, what a treat. I really loved Limbo (and got all the acheevos besides not dying), but this is beyond that. It's the attention to detail my friends. The little things. Not sure how to talk about this game without spoilers.....

I mean, who thinks of these things? Walking inline with the other people...I felt like I was in Charlie Brown in that piano scene where everyone is jamming with their heads down. Controlling their minds with your mind when you attached yourself to solve puzzles using AI? Maybe I have missed out on other games that have done this, but this is a new experience to me. I am at the part now where 3 dogs are chasing me up a fence on both sides while I break the wood planks on a door one at a time. I haven't sat down at a game for this long in one sitting for ages, it's just addicting.

Sipping my way through this one.

Awesome stuff so far.

If you like good high quality games, the price is a small every fee. Gotta remember, this is indie here, these guys are likely pushing through for years on their own money. You want them to be able to create high quality assets and experiences like this(did i mention the graphics, sound and animations are absolutely lovely?)?

Consider the $5 more than you'd want to pay a tip.

JUST beat it. What. The. f***. Did I just play. lol. Now to go read up on what fans are speculating as to wtf it was about.

Loved every minute of it but in my opinion it doesn't surpass Limbo. The puzzles on Inside were just to easy. Didn't have to hit up YouTube for an answer to a single one. Whereas Limbo, I gave in during all the gravity/anti-gravity bulls***.

Even though IMO it doesn't quite stack up to Limbo, I'm still glad I spent the full $20 to support Playdead.
