Are there instances where you have to fly IFR?

Absolutely. I just looked on the map for bad weather and ended up somewhere in the UK. Heavy rain, low ceiling and overcast. Terrible visibility.

My icing example too. I was completely blind and had to totally rely on instruments. I could totally see flying up high totally blind on instruments, and then dropping down to melt the ice off.

The great thing about the game is the lighting. On a bright, sunny day everything looks really bright and clear, but on a cloudy day, everything is just naturally darker.

I think I'm going to have to get this one...
My computer takes a s*** running it, but since it's Play Anywhere, I will just wait until it hits Xbox to start it up again. I know nothing about computers, but this is what my work computer ABOUT screen says. Its' an all in one touchscreen desktop.

Yea, the game has shockingly low requirements but that processor looks to slow for it. If its a work PC does it even have A GPU?

The devs are allowing third party flight sim devs to sell their products in game so we can expect plenty of planes. There’s even add-ons where you can have realistic air traffic control.

To elaborate on this...someone already released updated content for one of the small landing fields you can land at. This is just the beginning! The game is also going to get helicopters, gliders, and from what I understand the liveries are soon to be released as well.

So you're flying heavies?

Yes sir. I got the premium deluxe version and you get the Airbus, and the Dreamliner. Word on the grapevine is that they are working on DC-11s, 737 (possibly Max), 707, and some older vintage Airliners. I'm hoping for Constellations!!

Did you have de-icer in the plane? Usually a small button on the top/center console. I had to use that on my flight from New Zealand using real-time weather.

I wasn't sure if you needed to fly Cessna 152 or 172 for awhile or not.

That has to be some tense flying.

In the SR22, there are two deice buttons, but one is labeled INOP. I think I was able to actually get the ice off the wings though. I could not get the windshield clear (I'm guessing that is the not working one). I'll have to try a bunch of other planes to see what is simulated. I'm guessing the bigger planes have it.

If you want you can just jump into a 747 and take off from LAX to Tokyo!

Though I do advise to use the landing training at least. I skipped it at first and my landing in the Airbus was....less than ideal. My passengers probably would've all had injuries.

I've stuck completely with the low and slow stuff so far. I actually just did my first real flight with a landing last night in a 172. Still kind of fumbling with the controls and stuff. It can be really hard to mouse click on a tiny knob with the plane moving around.

I want to try some of the landing challenges, like the one at St Barths with the TBM 930. That's got to be a bear. Even getting a small Cessna in there can be a challenge.

Dude, that's bad form to calling the girls he's bangin' that.

Instrument flight rules, basically navigating with instruments in bad weather.
As opposed to VFR which is visual flight rules, meaning you see the ground and just navigate by looking out the window. My uncle used to fly and he'd follow interstate 90 to get where he was going.

There's an old aviation joke about IFR meaning "I follow roads". :)

I don't know. I will see if I can figure out if it does.

It does, but that GeForce 930MX is below the minimum requirements. Far below. You'd get a vastly better experience just waiting for the Series X version. Actually...even playing on the bog standard Xbox One would get you superior performance compared to what that computer has.

Thank you sir. Just so you know, I don't know jack s*** about computers. I just buy MacBook's at home and browse the web with them. I appreciate all the help you have given me.

No problem. Just want you to have the best first experience you can. That computer wouldn't provide it at all.

Only 32 GB RAM? Peasant!

But yeah, my 3900X plus 5700XT makes this game the hot sex, so with your cards it should be even hotter. 👍
I was going to get more, but when I bought it it was already getting pricey. RAM is really easy to change out if I feel the need.
