I hold an A&P license so although I don't fly I do know the terminology when it comes to flying and avionics. So I'm looking forward to seeing how realistic everything is.
Pick me up flyboy. 43.575894, -89.807182

Well i just dove in and pre-ordered the deluxe edition.

I had to look up the differences. Of course I've been to 4 of the 10 premium airports in the most expensive version, 2 or 3 of which, I was already planning on flying out of. Not sure if it's worth me spending an extra $120 just to see some more realistic airports, hopefully the add on bonuses get their own paid upgrade to ease the pricing a little.

So can you turn this into an arcade flyer and just fly around with simple controls?
Not sure. But there is auto pilot that will fly you to a destination and I think it will land for you as well.

Funnything about flight sims is the flying is actually very easy. The take off usually isn't hard. The landing is usually where folk fail.

Framerate is about the same on the two consoles and depends on where you’re flying and what you’re doing. While flying over Paris on the Airbus A320, Wloch sees about 35-40 FPS (which is the low-end), while when flying over Bordeaux, the framerate can go as high as 60.

The Xbox Series X will render the simulator in 4K resolution, while the Xbox Series S will render it in 1080p.

Work is being done with MeteoBlue to improve live weather. Discrepancies with METAR will be solved by the end of the year, but improvements will continue in 2022 with a roadmap that, according to Neumann, will “blow people away.”

So I assume the game is programmed to not let the controller time out to automatically pause the game stating the controller is disconnected? If I want to set up an 8 hour flight, and leave the controller, I would hate to come back 20 minutes later and see the game is paused.
