Microsoft sells 2,000,000 Xbox One's in 18 days.

The amount of maliciousness, false accusations, ignorance, delusion, and ignorance by hrudey, intellivision, and hammerclaw in this thread distorting everything I've said is horrible.

I predict sales will eventually reflect the metrics once supply issues are out of the way and they turn into savage animals attacking and distorting what I've said and pretending supply constrained sales are a reflection of demand when they can't be. They're apparently quite rabid and trying to get in what they can before the obviously greater demand for PS4 puts it ahead globally for a long time. All of that malicious and evil behavior directed towards me will be for naught.
So, it's alright to call other gamers savage animals, rabid, malicious, and evil, if you group them together first? Hmmmm!:hehe:(just kidding)*lol*

Still here, eh?

Lol.... half the people here probably won't get this reference..... very nice...

Well it is a very niche movie/story reference. The first time I saw that movie I was about 14. Until that point sci fi was all star wars and star trek.

Messiah, superman......me? LOL. J/K but its a reference to Dune in which I wasnt a fan. Although a remake would probably be a good idea.
Already been a remake which was good but not great and a sequel comprising the books Dune Messiah and Children of Dune which was frakin' awesome!

Dec 14:
I just explained why the pre-launch metrics changed from 4:1 to 2:1. You're incapable or unwilling of reading, deliberately ignoring what people just typed to you and saying "somehow it's 2:1?" like it wasn't just explained to you.

Yes PS4 is easily above 3 mil globally. There are shortages both due to higher demand, lack of supply, and wider global distribution. I expect an announcement of 3+ mil soon after the asian launch in a few days.
Wow. PS4 is already past 3M back on Dec 14. So by end of Dec with all the WM, Amazon and BB shipments, and more countries launching, PS4 should be at least 5M by end of the year.

At at 3:1 ratio win for PS4, X1 should finish the year around 1.7M. So despite MS announcing X1 sold 2M by around Dec 10, from that point on, X1 will have -300k sales for the rest of the month. LOL

PS4 is launching in even more places now, so I do not see why they can't hit 3 million. On the contrast, XBOX one is still available in 13 nations, & already, xbox one are piling in stores here in the Hessen area I live, in west central Germany. Maybe they have more supplies, but they are certainly not selling every boxes here within hours or even days (like in USA), that's for sure. PS4 however is completely dry out.
Again, maybe their supply go to other newly launch nation.

In any case, MS should really expend the number of launch nations, & ship some of the boxes allocated here to places where there will be more demand.

The good news for me, is when I eventually get one, it maybe already with price drop.

They haven't yet because people don't realize that a lot of these countries don't account for a lot of units. Like all of Spain bought 123,000 (give or take) PS4's and that is Spain. Those numbers will be A LOT smaller for other countries.

I am sure both companies are very close, but we would have heard something if they hit that new mark.

The XBOX ONE probably has past the PS4 in consoles sold for NA just for the simple fact MS has kept up with the demand there better through December. Overall I think both consoles could be around 4 million by end of 2013 though.

i notice way more buzz about XB1 here in the US of A. I'm guessing the post-Christmas numbers for XB1 in the US will be huge, higher than Sony's

I was happy that Xbox One held up yesterday as a ton of Xbox One's were turned on all in one day with Christmas. I didn't have many problems on Live or with Battlefield in general outside of the normal issues that came up from time to time already previously pre-Christmas. (a few Game Party issues & Home screen crashes) I guess I'm trying to say there weren't any added troubles.

Well, there are plenty of PS4's available stock here in our area, so I guess it all depends on how they are rationed.

Keeping in mind that Xbox kept up better with demand the chance that they beat PS4 in NA is high.
yes and I think that is one reason they limited to 13 countries, to insure they do have enough stock
I think sony must be in a zillion countries by now, so they might be spread pretty thin

If they sell out every unit, then of course that's not an issue. But the point being, demand in many nations have slowed. So it seems logical that they distribute some of the stocks to other nations, where that is more demand.

Demand in USA is still strong, so it make sense to keep up supplies, but in certain nations, where supply is more demand, why not distribute to other location where demand is still there, like maybe Netherlands, or Sweden, or Poland.

Once people got tried of waiting, they will just pick up the PS4, & MS will lose sales due to the delay.

You can get both consoles round my way by just walking into the stores. Have been like that pretty much a week after they launched.
