No problem. The post wasn't actually aimed at you. It's aimed at guys like consolewarz or yoyoniner who post similar "X1 is in stock" messages but then add there own context that.... "it's in stock because it's sitting there and nobody is buying them" assumption.

PS4 is supposedly getting this "huge Walmart" batch any day now. And knowing how Walmart works in all jobs I've been in, it's not like they'll handily accept suppliers send there 1,000s of stores (here in Canada it's more like 350 or whatever) 500 units to spread across the entire network. Sony is probably shipping the 5k or 10k Walmart stores in the US 100,000s of units. Even just 1 skid for each store holding maybe 20 PS4s is 200k alone.

Both companies are restocking stores sporadically. I'm not going to bother checking again, but yesterday or the day before I did a check of Canadian sites of WM, Costco, BB, FS, Amazon. Zero for both PS4 and X1.

All these people trying to put on their business hat (despite most people having zero experience) don't even realize that online inventory and store inventory are two different things when it comes to companies with both brick and mortar and online. One can have available stock while the other doesn't. For purely online stores like Amazon, then that's fine that's what they have.

But retail stores are different. Just my own example of getting X1 shows it. Future Shop's online pages had X1 and PS4 sold out for weeks. The day after launch, I walked in and the clerk got me one from behind the counter (online pick up booth). A guy looking for a PS4 got a clerk to grab him one from the inventory room at the back of the store. No doubt when I skimmed the aisles, there were bare. But inventory was lying around out of view. You just have to get lucky and get the stock boys and clerks to grab you one from a place they know where it is.

For sure. I remember the drought of 2005. It was March 2006 before I found a 360. Ah such memories, my first baby RROD. Litttle did I expect I would soon have a large family!

I was lucky and got a 360 a month after launch, circuit city.com lol, I think someone from TXB hooked me up with the link and I snatched one before they sold out.

With all the Sony fans clinging to "PS4 will outsell X1 by a 3:1 ratio", they are actually hurting their cause. LOL

The more they brag to the internet that BB or Amazon has X1's available, many gamers who don't care about picking sides may just order an X1 since they don't care which system they get or want to bother checking every online store and brick and mortar store hoping to get lucky.

All of these "scoping out stock threads" is really just a great service for them as the info is on a silver platter. Many of the threads even have the guy post the link there making it even easier to get hold on an X1 that MS has restocked.

LOL. Looks like fanboy wars are coming to end. I never thought hardcore Sony fans would be helping MS sell X1 consoles to make that sales ratio closer and closer by the day!

The SDF has been predicting doom and gloom for the X1 for months. Now they don't know what to do.

In Aus the PS4 has sold out, cant get one til next year.
Xbox one is still available to buy at some retailers,
Xbox one Sold the most consoles at launch between the 2 consoles and set new records.

Which console is more popular?

Those XBOX ONE bundles for BB are for delivery on the 24th of December only. Basically if you preorder it now, they are guaranteeing you will get it by the 24th. I'm guessing MS is promising BB they will give them a big supply which is why they put them up there.

The metrics are only accurate in the sense that two times two equals 2.1, which is true for extremely small values of two and using creative rounding tricks. I imagine that if we had access to the mod stats here, those metrics would clearly point out that you're not only not unduly being targeted for this stuff but highly likely to be one of the top five offenders.

I guess the good news is that you're not calling it disgusting or bringing up non-existent FUD, so perhaps you actually realize that you're demonstrably wrong and are looking for a graceful way to eject. Actually I think consolewarz's conquest in ratio wars might be right the whole time. He's been promoting PS4 would destroy X1 by a 2:1 margin lately (though all those old polls showed 3:1 and 4:1), but his messages were actually typos.

With PS4 at 2.1M and X1 at 2M, he didn't mean to type 2:1, but actually meant PS4 would win by a margin 2.1 : 2.

LOL.......

..... oh wait. He actually didn't mean 2:1 or 2.1 : 2 either. He has some reason changed tune again and has been claiming PS4 has sold 900k PS4s to get to 3M (despite being sold out everywhere in the world) while X1 has sold zero to stay at 2M, so it's actually a 3:2 (or 1.5 : 1) ratio at most.

Well, just .5 more to go to a 1:1 ratio. Will be interesting to see how much X1 sells compared to PS4 selling in 13 countries vs. Sony's 35-40 countries by the end of the year (32 by Nov 29) + another bunch in Dec. And X1 costs $100 more.

They are saying if you choose standard shipping you will have it on Dec. 24th, you can choose express shipping to get it in 1-2 days if you want.
 
The amount of maliciousness, false accusations, ignorance, delusion, and ignorance by hrudey, intellivision, and hammerclaw in this thread distorting everything I've said is horrible.

I predict sales will eventually reflect the metrics once supply issues are out of the way and they turn into savage animals attacking and distorting what I've said and pretending supply constrained sales are a reflection of demand when they can't be. They're apparently quite rabid and trying to get in what they can before the obviously greater demand for PS4 puts it ahead globally for a long time. All of that malicious and evil behavior directed towards me will be for naught.
