New AAA Xbox first party games will launch at $70.00, still on game pass day one.

So take advantage of it and try new things.

You misunderstand, I'm not saying I regret having not taken advantage of it, I'm saying I have not found there to be many games offered on GP that interest me enough to take the time and SSD space to even download them to begin with. I don't feel like I've missed out on games through gamepass, I feel like xbox is still lacks games that are compelling enough to try in the first place.

Again, I acknowledge that this is due to my own preferences and interests, but to me it's seemed like all the exciting xbox games are somehow always a year or 2 away and that never seems to change. I'm interested enough in starfield and redfall that i'll likely play them, and I'm cautiously optimistic about Playground's take on Fable. I'm waiting to see what the Coalition is up to and Perfect Dark might not suck, but other than that, I'm drifting more and more toward playstation in recent years which sucks because hardware wise I prefer xbox, for me they just don't have the software output that can retain my interest.

I didn't misunderstand. I wasn't implying you regret not taking advantage. I was saying stop being so narrow minded and try stuff outside of your preferences in order to take advantage.

It's not confusion, more like a nauseated disinterest.
You are the one who brought it up. You misunderstood when I said it nicely and you're offended when I am frank about it. Can't win.

Sorry that saying maybe you should try and play games outside your limited preferences is so wrong. I mean why would you not try when you already pay for a service that allows you to do exactly that? I guess me saying that is just crazy talk.

Huh? My guy I haven't been offended at all, that response was my reaction to the idea of playing $#!tty games, not your reply. I don't try these random games because as I said before, I know what I like so I know I wouldn't enjoy them, hence considering them a waste of storage space and download time. Chillax my man...

The last game I actually downloaded from gamepass was I think Deathloop and I've yet to even fire it up... For me most of the time I'll look at whats available and I'll think "do i wanna play this game?... PASS."

How long does your subscription go to?

Pretty much my sentiment this year... except for Requiem, now Grounded and I will also eventually try Halo Infinite coop.

I average about 1 game per month downloaded from GP. Around 6-7 games out of the 65+ i have installed are from GP. Most of the games I played long ago that I find to be good on the service. I don't have PSN+, but it's the same for that as well. Everything they put on there worth anything to me I already own.

Yeah on playstation I don't even bother with base level psn, all I play on playstation are some of their big single player games. This reminded me though that pretty much the biggest benefit I've gotten out of gamepass is the games I owned already that have been added to it I can now launch without switching discs, haha...

You aren't missing anything unless you are a fan of Dishonored?

I don't sub to any of the rental portions of these services, I get the bare minimum for online play but some like em.
My son for example has done both with GP getting the most attention.

Well I AM a fan of Dishonored, I think I just kept getting distracted by other games and never circled back to deathloop since it went to playstation first and by the time it made its way to xbox I was on to other things. I mean really the whole catalyst for this particular tangent was when I essentially said that with Microsoft's output this generation I don't feel like I get the value out of Gamepass because all the titles I actually have any interest in are perpetually on the horizon.

By far my most anticipated xbox exclusive is Fable and I don't think we even know a year when that's supposed to release. Perfect Dark might end up not being total trash, but tbh I've lost most of my interest in that one. I'll be interested in seeing if the Coalition is actually making something non-gears, and Gears 6 might be cool, but I mean, that's only 3 or 4 games I have some level of interest in and they're all so far away...
