NFL Season Thread

I'm sure Denver will make the playoffs but I also think they'll get the boot early for being too conservative again.

Yeah, at this current rate, Denver ain't going to the SB this year.

1. O Line? Peyton is taking way too many hits.
2. Defense? No pass rush, have problem with pass defense.
3. Very inconsistent. One game, Peyton and co. blows the opposition out of the water, next game?............Again, where is the defense?

All in all, right now in the AFC, it's still anyone's game. NFC comes down to SF, Seattle and NO.

And speaking of injuries,
As if Locker's season ending injury isn't bad enough, now Peyton is getting an MRI to check on his...If Peyton goes down for the entire season............SHEESH! At this rate, there won't be anyone left to play a game of football by the time the postseason starts!

If only the trade deadline hadn't passed, I'm sure that the Jaguars could make Blaine Gabbert available for the low low price of jock-strap flavored toilet wine.

Congrat to the Jags and Hrudey on the win yesterday. They've played competitively the last couple of weeks and finally finished it off.

My Raiders lost. But at least the defense looked respectable.

Terrell Pryor is not an NFL QB. Amazing athlete though.

More importantly, thank goodness that the Bucs won last night so we've still got a chance at the #1 pick.

As a lifelong Dolphin fan I cannot and will not spend another nickel on the Direct TV package or fly down to see a game until they clean house. It has been an absolute sh!t show since Shula left and they haven't been able to recover from the damage nick saban did to the franchise. I'm absolutely sick of it.

I'd be very concerned about their D. Let's not forget they haven't played in cold weather yet, and Peyton has always been a different player in it.

The Broncos aren't going to the Super Bowl because once the Patriots get the #1 seed and Peyton has to play in cold weather in Foxboro he's going to choke like he always does.

Broncos won't win it all. Peyton already gimpy and he's got chiefs defense 2x. However IF he stays healthy and gets favorable playoff matchup they could still win.

Finaly finally! After two weeks of mayhem due to that stupid thurs. game, we are getting back on track. 31 huge unanswered points in the 2nd to go up against the Brownies! Hope this is the start of a long win streak!

Our defense holds despite every effort from the refs to give the Texans the game.

Also nice to see a competent running game and passing game with McGloin and Jennings in there instead of McFadden and Pryor.

The Raiders looked good this week. Yeah, enjoy it! After two weeks of total disaster, about time we both get a break! Now, for my Bengals, two big huge weeks of R&R before sucking down a huge breath for the entire month of Dec. Hope we can rip off 4 straight wins and get a bye during the playoffs!

There are a distressing number of 2 win teams right now. The Jaguars are putting up efforts like they may be able to pull out another win or even two this season, especially with both games against the Texans still on the docket. All these two win teams need to pick up another win or two relatively soon.

Too bad that didn't last long.

Our coaching is really starting to worry me. I know we're not the most talented team and some may say we are overachieving even at 4-8. But our second half adjustments on offense and defense has been absolutely horrific all year.

We were running the ball effectively and taking advantage of Dallas' questionable LB's by throwing the ball over the middle of the field. So what do we do? We go for the home run by throwing a corner fade to the shortest WR on the team resulting in the int.

Oh well at least we made it a game early.

Raiders still need improvements that's for sure...

But that game, and last week's game vs the Giants speak volumn about the Cowgirls dysfunction as well....I mean fumble the ball on kickoff......As you've said, if the Raiders had made better adjustments, then the Cowgirls would never have made it...Then there is this from last week....It just wanna make me cover my face:

Again, W...........T................F was that?!?!?!? Yeah, the Cowgirls also won vs. the G-men, mainly because they are more like the midgetmen right now. But that play speaks volume about the entire dysfunction of the Dallas team...And it maybe worse than the Raiders cause well, the Raiders are expected to suck, the Cowgirls?.....That play reminds me of my Bungles back in the days.....

Denver up 2 TD's now with 9 minutes left......Gonna be tough for KC to climb out of that hole!
Also, crossing fingers for my Bengals. 4 minutes or so left, we have the ball, 1 TD lead! Hope it holds up!

My Seahawks in beast mode tonight. I'm across the water from the Stadium and I swear I can hear it from here.

Do you think Mike Tomlins 'interference' was intentional?
You be the judge.

THis is pretty low. I hope he gets suspended and fined but take away a draft pick? seems too harsh. I can't look at this replay without being positive that there was ill intent to slow down Jones. In other videos you see him walk to the edge of the sideline as Jones makes his way to the sideline.
what is so perplexing is the ref having to run around Tomlin as well and still didn't call it. I have seen more sublime interference by coaches and staff that got called.

Tomlin was fined $100k so hopefully that puts a stop to that kind of thing even if it was just an accident.

As far as Seattle, if they get the #1 seed I just don't see anyone taking them out at home, they'll almost surely end up representing the NFC in the SB.

When it comes to who'll be in the SB for the AFC I just hope it's not the freaking Pats again, I just can't stand that team.

Someone please explain this weird feeling I am having, watching the Jaguars and seeing something that remotely resembles a competent team and having numbers on their side of the scoreboard actually end up larger than the ones of their opponents. There was a pretty serious outbreak of that stuff in 1999, but I thought that the entire area was immune to that now.

I'm happy for you man. And this coming from another fan whose team has also struggled with this past decade.

But your Jags are screwing up the number one draft pick.

Going to the Ravens/Vikings game tomorrow. Snow sleet and rain. I hope I make it back alive but these seats are too sweet to pass up.
I went to the game vs the Jets two weeks ago when it was about 20 degrees and super windy….but i was dry.

I can't even imagine anyone playing game in a such freezing weather. I've experienced that quite a few times in high school and, let me tell you something, I couldn't even hold a friggin' football because my fingers were completely froze. I had to suffered for nearly 4 hours. It was gruesome.
