NFL Season Thread

Wow, the NFL gave the game to the Jets.

That call is almost up there with the "tuck" rule in stupidity (although not in effect mind you) but yeah....

But still....WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! WHO DEY WHO DEY WHO DEY BABY GOT BACK AND THEN SOME!!!

Had to go to Ikea to get my sons a bunk bed so missed the game. Came back and it turned out Mike Nugent drilled a field goal with time expiring to win it! See saw game all day but glad we pulled it out!

Just like to say that Trent Richardson is a fantasy and getting close to real life bust.

don't forget about Cushing, Finley, Martin, and more!

tough week for the NFL

If only point differential were the tiebreaker for draft picks rather than strength of schedule, we could be confident that the Jags had the #1 locked up. I'm concerned Tampa's going to keep on manufacturing ways to lose.

I think a college team could beat the Jags right now.

I dunno, if only because of the different rules about the number of players active on gameday and on things like punting and screen passes and whathaveyou, plus the fact that college players are younger men who are only practicing and whatnot 20 hours a week, while NFL players are full time. But as a Jaguar fan I would be concerned to play Alabama if the game were in Jacksonville, since they're just godawful at home.

Oh, yeah, and though I still have a hard time getting over the fact that he went to UGA, Matt Stafford is good for one of those ridiculous end of game scores every couple of seasons and this one was no exception. Clearly it's all Tony Romo's fault.

And we suck again. Cowboys showed us fans again why we can never think our team is headed in right direction. And Dez should have got his ass wooped on the side line.

So far so good for my Bengals. Except one little hiccup (Andy's int), everything going our way right now. Dalton with well over 200 yards already and 3 TD's. Now I'm not saying we are cruising to a win here, we tend to have a nasty habit of blowing it in the fourth but if we keep this up, the game might be way out of reach by the time 4th rolls around!

OHH MY!!!!

Thought Bengals vs. Jets would be somewhat close! Not quite!

Dalton have 257 yards and 4 TD's already and that's only for one half! SHEESH! If Jet's don't find an answer to this aerial assault soon, I'm looking at Andy with over 400 yards and at least 6 TD's before the night is out! We need this game! don't let up, it's time we learn how to knock 'em down and then kick them while they are down and the Jets right now are just great target practice!

f***ing Cowboys. They find ways to lose. Break your heart EVERY TIME.

................................Now, the only question I'm having right now is will my Bengal roll over 50 points on the hapless Jets..........................Adam "Pacman" Jones just returned a pick 6 for 60 yards into the big house..............................You know you are having a great day when even the defense is jumpin' up and down the opposing team's throats!

Well, no 50 points. Right after Pacman ran his 60 yard int TD, Rex Ryan decided to throw in the towel and call it a day. With only 4 days, Marvin smartly decided to pack away the starters and call it a day....But still, I think this game is the game where we finally gells and came together. Hope we can do that to the Fins too on Thurs......I just hope the short rest doesn't cost us in the injury department though....

Gotta give a huge shout out to Dno.

Hey bro, nice win by the Raiders! They ain't suck anymore lol! Terrell Pryor's 97 yard TD right on the first ply...Did someone told the Squeelers defense that Terrell loves to run? Guess not!

Thanks Stryder. Your Bengals are making a huge jump this year.

After that read option run by Pryor, we didn't run it again. At all.

Pryor is great in first halfs with scripted plays. But I don't think he can't read defenses. Fun to watch in that backyard football kind of way.

Our defense looks to be legit though.

The thing about Pryor is he is still young. Remember he wasn't ready for the NFL yet when he got literally tossed into the fire! And being that way, he's doing ain't half bad at all! Reading defense will come. Pryor work hard and doesn't complain. He understands he still got a ways to go. I think by year three, if he's still starting, you will see him much better, especially if the defense matures and the Raiders finally get a good O Line!

Yeah, that read. I think they didn't run it again cause the coaches are afraid the Pitt's defense will pick that up. I wonder why....The Squeeler's defense sucks this year....

Yeah that's true. Pryor has no run support either. I mean none. Besides himself. Lol

McFadden is gone after this year. We need to spend a 2nd or 3rd rounder on a RB. We have a kid named Murray that looks promising. But like McFadden, he's had injuries through his college career and into his first training camp.

Something for Dno to enjoy! Pryor's massive, now NFL league record of a 93 yard TD run by a QB......Ironically, guess who's record Pryor broke? Yep, it was a Pittsburg Steeler...One Kordell Steward!

Thanks. That's the kind of thing that makes TP fun to watch.

I'll be pulling for your Bengals in the playoffs. Take down the Broncos, Chiefs or whoever.

Lost my fantasy matchup by 1 point. If Pete Carrol had run Marshawn Lynch at the one yard line I would have won. Or if they hadn't given up on the running game. Salty as f***.

Good luck to my Bengals tonight vs the fishies (Yeah, yeah, I know Dolphins are technically not fishies)
But still, IMO, Marv should play conservatively and if we have to lump the loss, lump it! We are too banged up in our secondary right now, LB corps especially and can't afford anymore injuries. After this game, we have 9 big days of rest to lick our wounds then make a concerted run during the second half. We only have two winning teams against us during the second half so if we play well and get at least a 13-3 record, we should have a first round bye and at least a home playoff game! That's more than good enough for us right now!

Ohh congrats to Andy Dalton on winning the AFC offensive player of the month. He did it over the likes of Payton Manning and Andy Luck!

You spelled our Lord and savior's name wrong.
