And people wonder why MS want COD on GP and would be fine with Sony having it on it's service.

The Switch is now the third best selling console ever. It now sold over 122 million consoles. The Nintendo DS and PS2 the current top 2.

It should hit 140 million by the end of 2023.

Following Sony’s latest report of the company having its best quarter yet ending December 31, 2022 (Q3 FY22), Insider Gaming has received information from its sources suggesting that the company is expecting a further huge increase in PS5 unit sales at the end of this year.

In 1 County.... shall we look at the bigger picture?

Around 10% in Europe.

Probably about 0.2% in Japan.

You would need more Japanese support to get into Japan. Not sure how Activision will help there.

Besides, MS already has more first party studios than Sony without Activision. Just maintain a steady release of quality titles and you will be competing.

MS wants mobile market.

MS internal documents officially confirms that adding titles to Gamepass would cannibalize sales. So all that talk about GP increasing sales...?

Well either MS is lying or the developers. Which one is the question 😆

There you go again with "lying". You are attempting to be a couch lawyer, following posts from other couch lawyers in the thread going on right now at Neogaf.

Apparently CMA wants them to divest COD to have deal possibly go through.

Oopsie, you missed this.

Activision have several popular games with Japanese gamers.

But that wasn't the point. The tweet was saying things are close in the UK but around the world its not even close.
MS have just never been able to make a serious dent in Europe or Japan.
This deal would actually reduce Sony dominance but not enough to see MS take over.

Guess you can't really make a blanket statement on all games on GP, it works better for some games.

Yup that was my point. For some games like Indies and smaller titles , GP might help to increase exposure but for big name and popular titles, nope the ROI on subscription would have to be substantial to keep rolling out quality titles. MS is smart enough to know this.

I learn it from you since you love that word so much 😉
