Took a few minutes to log in but no disconnects for me.

I think it's overloaded cause I think more people are playing than they anticipated.

a server based game having server outages on release. stay tuned.

They don't appear to have much of a planned content pipeline, why the connection requirement if a "service" is not planned? It's just needless reduction of control for the customer as far as I see.

I read that they made it only online to try combat cheaters, but it really shouldn't matter in PvE games, if they want to cheat let them, the constant disconnects and invisible bugs are really annoying and really turning me off what is otherwise a great time.

Made it to WT 14 tonight. Damn but you really need to have your gear optimised to keep going. It’s so much fun. I hope we’ve seen an end to those server problems.

I'm having fun with it. These server issues are making it pointless to play right now.

The story is garbage.
The world tiers are dumb.
Bosses are very generic and very forgettable.
Campaign was pretty short in the end. About 12 to 15 hours long.

Need 1.5 more levels then time to try the end game

story is alright. Not really playing for the story though.
the World Teir system is excellent. It can be a little punishing if you get stuck.
Some of the boss fights are some of the best experiences I’ve had in a game in a long time. Especially that one where you fight the massive thing at the start of the forest area.
The campaign is 12 to 15 hours? What? I’m 60 hours in and only reaching the final stages of the Campaign now. The campaign has serious content.

Game is fun but game is ugly. It sports the Unreal Engine logo but it has to be the basic version, Unreal Basic.

At least gameplay is solid and once they get consistent with server connections this game may have some legs.

Game isn't the prettiest even at 4K & decked out, but it isn't bad that you can't play. Wish there is a transmog option & the female options ain't different level of ugly. I mean the NPC females are decent looking but your char choices suck. But in the end, I pick a Kurt Russel lookalike & I am fine with it.

I am still figuring how o play trickster. I give up the whirlwind skill & go for the twisted button META build, but I lack mods to push it so far, I am only level 14 now so I have time.

I prefer a more open environment (like borderland 3, far cry etc) with some selective indoor fights, & not every fight is a mini arena/shooting gallery-style. Maybe this is where they can improve in DLCs.

But ist still fun & the skills & gears are the stars. The gears feels so much more exciting than destiny & skill feels more impactful & tactical.

What I heard is that planned content depends on game receptions. Maybe that's the deal with SquareEnix. I expect they will have DLCs consider the expected commercial success.

The devs have already confirmed this is a one and done affair. If Square deems it a success they will do dlc but its questionable. This game is an embarrassment to Square's business model. They clearly focused way to much on Avengers and yet the much lower budget game is crushing it with higher player engagement.

Square is continuing to support Avengers with more content in the hopes it becomes a recurring revenue cash cow but Outriders shows them how important the "Fun" factor is. I wouldn't be surprised if some executives over at Square want Outriders to go away. I hope I'm wrong and Outriders provides Square with a lesson and makes some changes.

You are not 60 hours in at all. You are like 35 hours in, and are confusing optional side quests with the actual story.

That boring, uninspired, boss fight was one of your best experiences in a long time. Lol.

The rolling/getting in cover controls are terrible and need changing.
Playing as a trickster, it's a pain in S, everyone in cover, & got shot from everywhere to get close. Sprint is also clunky in the game, & I got stuck or glitch when I try the slam melee then execute it on anything but open ground

I played for about 3 hours today. Story is laughable. So bad it's good...I think. Graphics average. Gameplay...feel like I've done this. Yet...it clicked and I started to have a lot of fun. To me it's not as tight as Gears combat but the gameplay is a bit more dynamic due to the abilities. I wasn't going to buy it but I'm glad I tried it out.

Im not 60 hours in? Ok....

I’m not confusing anything dude. You’re the guy who is blasting through the game as fast as possible on minimum difficulty and then proclaims the game is 10 to 12 hours.

ok, fine, you don’t like it (because really you don’t seem to enjoy much anyway) but don’t be talking out you’re arse about the game if you’ve bypassed most of it and the bit you did play you played on easy mode.

either get in cover. Or roll. There are specific builds for each type of mechanic. I gave up on using cover for the most part

You aren't 60 hours in at all. 1 day 20 hours = what ?

I see, so now game difficulty is to blame for s***ty writing. So you magically got a better story cause word tier.:txbrolleyes: You don't even know what world tier i'm on, but hey, lets overlook that.

Yeah, nnot focusing on side quests. Yeah, cause these are adding so much to the actual story. Some random dude blowing up a quarry added so much depth.

Have you finished the story? Who is talking out their ass now.

You played the game without advancing the WT system, skipped all the content you could, all so you can get to the end game as fast as possible.

Get back to me when you’ve played the game properly.

Only played the opening mission but my gosh the voice acting. It was terrible, and not in a fun action game kind of way.

No I didn't. You haven't got a clue what you're talking about.

Yeah, voice acting is terribly bad, the story is forgettable and level design is basic with open areas that have waist high cover littered about with a wonky cover system. And yet the game is a lot of fun and in my opinion in large part due to enemy AI. I like how the enemies react to being shot by stumbling or taking a side step to throw off aim. The pack enemies do a great job of sticking together like they are setting themselves up to be destroyed in a group. Its amazing to me to see a lower tier game like this with way better enemy AI than some big budget games, particularly one that came out recently in a broken state.

The general gameplay loop is fun. More fun than the big 2 games in this genre.

One little touch I did like is how your charcter looked more and more bad ass as you progressed. A small thing, but adds to the feeling of progressing.

Yeah I'm actually going to give it another try once the servers settle down. The gameplay does seem good, which is most of what matters for games like this.

Got out of the prologue and did a mission rescued Jakob last night. Was going to join a buddy's game and do some coop but we ended up playing Overwatch instead lol. Game seems like it has promise and the gameplay is fun.

Rolled a pyromancer btw. Medium based combat seems like the best option, though I'm regretting not going trickster because I find myself doing a lot of ground punches lol.

I like that we can lower the world tier whenever we want. I've played some co-op but mostly solo. And I found there were times I wasn't doing enough damage or I didn't have enough survivability. But the option to lower the world tier or repeat side missions gives us options to progress.

Did my first expedition. That was chaotic. Also rewarding, got 12 pieces of gear for a silver finish, including 3 epics.
