Pending announcement: exciting new partnership for Titanfall

Supposedly Major Nelson doesn't know what it is either even though he brought it up.
 
It's pretty obvious Respawn isn't happy with the XBox One exclusivity. Not even sure what EA was thinking really since it actually was quite possible Titanfall could become the next COD, but maybe they only plan on having it be exclusive for the first game and then see how the console userbases go.

Its not like they have the xbox360 and PC. Which that gave them 3 platforms to work on.

It was Dortios combined with Halo that did it. It just seemed a little more than "this segment is brought to you by doritos".
 
well even if it did become exclusive remember "its only COD with mechs" who needs it?

If the quote is correct, MS is not privy to this announcement. In reality, they know what it is but its nothing blockbuster like exclusivity so they won't toy with emotions. It is probably DLC schedule.
 
Also "we did not sell TF to MS" doesn't mean the IP couldn't be exclusive for a few games

DLC schedule are not worth a special announcement, even less so a partnership. Just saying.

If they don't wrap it up....then expect other games in the series to be on the PS4.
Things are different now and you know they wanna be on the biggest platform/s.

well yes and no, If MS can cut a big enough check its the same as being on ps4 from a business perspective. I would rather it be on ps4, 1080p for sure, not sure about some of the cloud features working the same.
 
It will be harder for them to lock up Titanfall than it was for Gears. 360 was the hot platform so its an easier decision to make a game exclusive when that is the case. EA may have been betting on the Xbox One being in better shape when they originally made the deal. Of course Microsoft could always write a big enough check but they may end up going the COD route and look for some kind of DLC deal.
