Pending announcement: exciting new partnership for Titanfall

so do you guys think titanfall 2 is going to be a mutli platform game next year? I have a vibe it's going to be appearing on both PS4/X1 when the sequel comes out. (that isn't a bad thing just geussing thats what is going to happen)
I think that likely wont be decided for awhile yet. EA will want to have a better understanding of not only how well TF can sell, but what the install base of the consoles looks like. Certainly MS would want to get it locked up asap, but EA has all the leverage in a potential deal (as it looks like the game will be a success) and it's in their best interest to wait and see.
If Resapawn own the IP what can EA do? Its Microsoft's call here if they want to try and lock it down, Respawn's decision also to see what they want to do next. None of the other two need EA in any of this.
it is smart both ways, multi-platform equals more sales but more post launch work, single platform helps with quality and consistency, especially for a small team.
Now its the EA partners programs or whatever, so it depends on the details of that.
What EA would love is to lock down this 3 year cycle -
Year 1 - Battlefield
Year 2 - Star Wars FPS
Year 3 - Titanfall

Depends, if it turns into another Gears, then MS will probably try and keep it console exclusive. Maybe even to go so far as to buy the IP outright with some clauses that Respawn maintain creative control until they feel like relinquishing it, and no big rush from MS to put Halo-esque pressure on the company.

I can see Microsoft buying the IP and handing it over to another MS owned studio to make the sequel happen. It just makes sense and depending on how it sells, its gives gamers one more reason to buy an XBO; ultimately because you cant get it on the other system. It creates a sense of urgency by making it exclusive. Im not stating that it wouldnt be great on other platforms, but from a business perspective (and Microsoft needing another killer app in its stable...) its just a smart decision. I think a lock down is in the cards for sure though...
They really missed out on the musical. Picture this but with pilots doing parkour and Titans instead of German tanks.
