Haha, nah man that's cool, your just hard to work out sometimes :).

But I do think both consoles will be good, so who ever chooses Xbox, I'm sure they will like it. But for me becuase I have owned a Xbox for so long , I just wanted a change and I think the PS4 is the best value and it gives me a chance to play all their exclusives and gives me a break from Xbox's exclusives.
 
Have we had anything on the [possible] noise of the console? XBox is reportedly silent most of the time but Ive read nothing on this yet?

My PS3 [R.I.P] was a mixed bag. Silent most the time but games like Uncharted made it sound like it was going to blow up and now and then when watching a movie the fans would kick into over drive.

Definitely don't I've tried so many it's not funny as I have mine preordered a EB GAMES (but it's not a launch console) and I have been asking at every shop I go to, and even get them to ring around and it's always the same thing. But I'm crossing my fingers I will have it before chrissy.

Nintendo had similar expectations and ended up shipping almost a million consoles right away. And that was with Wii U sales dropping off pretty hard after the initial launch, which I doubt will happen with Sony. 5 million seems like an easy target.

You think Sony expected to sell 16 million next gen units in 4 months? Has any company, ever sold 16 million consoles in 12 full months? I think you lost something in translation there buddy.

Microsoft is about to get hammered.

Please note the same source that said 16 million, now says there hasn't been shipment instructions. Reported in May.

And that is from August, and in the same report, they say Microsoft is expecting 7-9 million.

DigitTimes seems to be making stuff up as they go along, presumably for both Sony and MS.
 
Also instructions for upgrading your copy of Watchdogs, Battlefield 4, Call of Duty:Ghosts and Assasins Creed 4 from PS3 => PS4 has been posted on EU and US blog. On EU-blog they also NBA 2K14 were mentioned as part of this program.

Currently none of the blogs mentioned Fifa14 wich EA mentioned were upgradable, at Gamescom.
They said they'll add to the pages when/if more titles get available.

It costs 9,99 USD, Euro, or GBP depending on your location.

- If you bought the digital copies of the PS3-games you just need to search for the PS4-game and price will change automagically in the store to 9,99, if you allready have PS3-version.
- If you bought the disk-based copy, you'll need to redeem a code, within the time-period the offer lasts, and then you can download a digital copy of the PS4-version for cheap - but you still need the PS3-disk to play it, if you eject it, game will stop.
- If you don't get your PS4 while the offer lasts, you'll still be able to take advantage of this upgrade price, by redeeming the code included with the disk-based version of the game, and download the PS4-version at your leisure.

Shipped =/= Sell.

Also, if you bothered to read my post, I clearly said I think the 5 million sounds doable; not the idiocy that you're assuming I was thinking.

Well I think it is pretty weird it didn't all seem like a bunch of nonsense, but no big deal. Even if they did ship 16 million consoles, I have no idea who's going to buy them all.
 
Normally watching things recorded off a TV like that it's hard to see the graphics, but if anyone thinks that doesn't look good, they need their eyes checked. I just hope the gameplay is good to this game, as the only Killzone I got to play was a bit of a beta on the PS Vita.

First off let me address the previous rumors or critisisms about the PS4 version. There's just nothing to criticize. This is coming from someone who couldn't stand the PS3 version of BF3. I have no idea what resolution the game was running at on the PS4, but it looked as good or better than BF3 on my PC, and ran at a smooth 60 fps looking amazing the entire time I played. I saw no sign of low quality textures or any issues at all. And while I'm sure high end PCs running the game at 1080p or higher will ultimately look better when you nit pick, there's nothing to complain about here. The game looks and plays like Battlefield on the PC, and that's great news.

You don't know who to believe about this game as there are so many different opinions about this game. I really hope it's true what this guy is saying as (yes I am a GRAPHICS whore :grin:) but I don't like playing games on PC, so I just want the best possible graphics I can get on Console.

I am getting this at launch so I realy hope Dice isn't showing the game on PC stuff instead of a PS4 dev kit. If they are we ahould be able to sue them for false advertising.
 
I won't be getting BF4 at launch, but I might sometime in the future after reading that.
 
I don't know why, but I've bought every Killzone game and haven't liked any of them...even bought that sharpshooter thing just to play the last one.

That sucks man. It is a fun series. I cannot stand the Uncharted Series, filled with terrible game-play and generic story telling.

Holly crap those pics look really good. And I thought Infamous wasn't known for it's graphics ?

But you would think if they can do this , just imagine what devs like Naughty dog can do and also Ubisoft (as I think Ubisoft is really good at graphics on multi platform games).

Lots of games have great story telling. To list them all here would mean I would miss some and that would just hurt their feelings. Are you offended by my dislike of Uncharted? What kind of shooter doesn't implement the ability to perform head shots.. :really:

The first Infamous didn't have that much going for it in the looks department - but Infamous 2 looked pretty fantastic. :-/

But you can headshot in Uncharted there's even trophies for it in Uncharted 2 & 3...
