I am taking about BC and FC.They've said less but shown more. We've seen actual gameplay from several games on their console, the other company has talked a hell of a lot but not really shown anything other than a poorly received Halo demo on PC, Minecraft and for some reason Gears 5 over and over again.

Nope Sony has been quiet and its troublesome.
I finally found a YouTube Sony fan that isn't a click-bait troll. Yay!
Like the PS2, PS3 and PS4, the PS5 will have a bay/compartment where you insert the new SSD. It is specifically designed to be user friendly to both locate and insert. Generally, it comes with a manual showing you exactly where this compart is, which is closed off from the rest of the system where you can see only the access point to that bay and nothing else, as well as how to install your new storage. It will likely have one phillips screw to secure the storage bay firmly in place, which the manual will also show you with a number of sketches. Any other questions, and it will walk you through those up until you are able to load content on your new storage.
I watched a video on YouTube how to change storage on PS4, I certainly wouldn’t describe it as consumer friendly lol.

The fatter PS4 is the same way, but it's HDD is located under the gloss face. Simply slid it back, and you have complete access to the storage, which the instructions in the manual shows how to do step by step with sketches. It's definitely consumer friendly unless you never picked up a standard screw driver before.
An SSD will be even simpler

Apologies, it was the one PS4 where you have to pull the top off on the left what I watched. Yes that looks slightly easier. As I said in a previous post, it’s not a major problem but speaking from a personal perspective, I’m uncomfortable pulling pieces of plastic apart, I’ve just got caggy hands. Thanks for your reply.
I don't want to go through all that and risk damaging my machine, if anyone could mess it up it'd be me so I just went with external storage lol.
It's easy and if a person needed help those videos cover the bases.I watched a video on YouTube how to change storage on PS4, I certainly wouldn’t describe it as consumer friendly lol.
Dno69 doesn't start things... maybe you confused him?Whether you bring it up or not, right there you've just contributed to that fire. If you are going to point the finger, be mindful of your own actions.
FYI, i didn't see the punchline.

Hopefully Sony has a port this time around.

You can add one for storage but you can only play next gen games from an internal one. Don't remember if you could play PS4 games on external, but essentially you need to think of an external drive as a place to store games to install later when you're ready to play them.Judging by the comments onsaid videos it’s not easy because many people need the videos to see how to do it. Saying that, if you can just add an external HD then that’s not a problem. I was unaware you could just add an external. Let’s hope you can add an external to the PS5.
Externals are slower cause the OS still has to run on the slow 5400 rpm drive still.Judging by the comments onsaid videos it’s not easy because many people need the videos to see how to do it. To be honest, I didn’t know you could just go with external storage. Looked up on YouTube and saw people changing the internal HD. Feel like I’ve made a mountain out of a molehill now.

Sorry. You didn't get chosen. When are we supposed to hear any feedback from our pre order lottery?
You can play PS4 games from the external drive on the PS5 but yeah you have to play PS5 games from the internal one. I doubt I'd ever want to play anything off of the external one though, I'm sure once we get the reduced load times nobody is going to want to go back to that. I can't wait to see how much it cuts off of RDR2 or GTAV, those games take a long time for with the initial loading.
The truth is, no matter what next generation console we buy, we’re going to struggle with storage. If we’re being honest and leave the console war pettiness behind, I think the storage situation is being overblown. Both consoles allow Hdd storage to play BC games and I don’t know about you but I’m rarely playing more than two, three games from one month to the next. How hard is it to copy a game from your HDD to SSD when you want to start playing another game?
Unless Sony matches this.... it's more of a struggle on PS5.
