New Godfall details surface; gameplay similar to Monster Hunter World with elements from Dark Souls

Well, I'm out. Don't like monster Hunter and hate Dark souls.
If it has difficulty levels such as easy then I am in. If it’s hard then I am out.

Controller looks cool.

I hope the console itself comes in that color as an option. Kind of giving me OG PlayStation vibes. Which is what I want.

For the people who are interested in this kind of thing the Road to PS5 video on youtube has over 14 million views already, the IG post with the controller has over 3 million likes from just a few hours ago and the tweet has over 217k likes.

It's almost as if they say that every generation. I'm over this crap. I need to see the games, and I'm annoyed we have nothing. That's for both of the big two. They should be doing leaks every week at this point .. give us tech demos if nothing else.

Contoller looks cool. Interested in the haptic feedback, but I expect it to be like on the Xbox where pretty much Forza is the only game that uses it in any meaningful way. I remember almost the exact same talk last gen- feeling fireball li s rush out of your hand and whatnot..

I am sad MS wasn't a bit more forward thinking with their controller, but I get why they did what they did. Back paddles should be standard.

Now, this game being inspired by the Stormlight Archive has my interest. I've seen a few more gameplay snippets and it's looking pretty good.

Agreed . I’m hoping the the controller functions are fully utilized, because the article JinCA posted sounded pretty cool.

But while the Kinect got a lot of sh*t for a lot of reasons, at the end of the day, even as a pack-in it was never really utilized.

And the internet said its microphone was always listening, Always. So after all that, no company would ever think put a mic on a piece of HW again. Lesson learned!

they generally aren't though. Sure, first party will utilize them, but third party will have a basic implementation at best.

Yeah whenever a new gen starts we hear the same old things, this one I hope is different just because graphics aren't going to be the only focus, they can actually get rid of loading for the most part, do more with animations, physics and AI and aim for higher framerates.

As you said it'd be nice to see something soon, I mean yeah Sony can still reveal the hardware to generate hype (the controller reveal on their IG already has close to 3.5 million likes lol) so they can still give us something to get people hyped up between now and when the games start being revealed but seeing a 1st party next gen launch game would get me more interested than anything else.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing Godfall soon since it's the cover story in a PlayStation magazine but it's a game being worked on by 75 people and is also coming to PC so while it won't be held back by PS4 it's still not likely to be a game that showcases what the PS5 can really do.

While what you say is true I think the adaptive triggers will be used more than the rumble triggers in the X1 pad, you can do so much more with it than just have it vibrate.

Sounds like a good feature to me.
Some of us don't mind paying for extras.

Yeah it's just an easier way to get to an in game store, that patent may never be worked into the hardware and even if it is it's not like we are forced to buy what someone is trying to sell.

Does xbox have it? If not then they wont.

I agree that the adaptive triggers are more versatile than the rumble triggers, but I just don't see too many third party devs putting in the extra time to fully utilize them.

I think they may at first just because it's new and they may actually enjoy what it adds to the gaming experience, it all depends on how much work/time it takes to do it. I know Sony will make all of their first party games take advantage of it, I don't think MS even pushed their rumble triggers after launch in anything other than their forza games. I don't know that for a fact but I don't think I've played anything on my One X where I felt any kind of rumble in the triggers.
