I wasn't really aiming to make this personal. I just don't like timed third party exclusives.Sorry, but I'm a hateful bastard. PS5 isn't my console of choice, and neither is the new Xbox. I'm just a mean person.

sounds like s*** to meIt’s been a while… but State of Play returns this Thursday with a focus on third-party-published games coming to PS4 and PS VR. We’ll have a few PS5 game updates on third-party and indie titles you last saw in June’s PS5 showcase.
The episode is weighing in at 40+ minutes(!). We’ve got a great lineup in store featuring plenty of new gameplay footage and other game updates. Can’t wait to hear what you think!
And just to be super clear — there will be no PlayStation Studios updates in Thursday’s episode. There won’t be any updates around hardware, business, preorders, or dates either. On Thursday, our focus is squarely on showcasing some cool upcoming games coming to the broader PlayStation ecosystem. Should be fun!
The new State of Play episode airs Thursday, August 6 at 1:00pm Pacific Time / 4:00pm Eastern Time / 9:00pm BST, and you can watch it live on Twitch and YouTube.

My Astro C40 is better made than the PS offerings I would like to use it.Based on what was said, the DualShock 4 has absolutely no feedback in certain instances that the DualSense allows during gameplay. There are also no adaptive triggers neither. Everything else is also still a mystery about the controller including the create button, which is likely to gi beyond thw share button. I'm just not sure where the DualShock 4 will be of any benefit to the next experience more than it would be a hindrance. If the changes were minor, i could understand.

And since the PS4 is still booming, they've got no reason to abandon it.
Four stars. I would have given it five, but it hasn't been released yet.
142 people can't be wrong. Though I am surprised they sold out with 142 available.Four stars. I would have given it five, but it hasn't been released yet.

that tech is old thoughBuilt wise, maybe. But it doesn’t support the same tech inside the body of the controller for the games that'll use it, and I'm sure that is where the problem falls. It's easier to support these things if the upgrades are minor, but when you have major features replace them, it is almost like using a PC that is 15 or 20 years old. The tech becomes too dated after awhile to keep up. In the case of rumble........well, it's about that dated, not including everything else.
that tech is old though
So what it's old vs what the competitors have been using. Not older than the tech in the DualShock. That's really old to a point where the PS1 had it. That's back when dial up as smokin' hot. That's saying lot.

Sony needs to worry more about build quality.
Definitely a whole lot better than the rumble in the DualShock, which, if i may add, is also in the competition's controller.
track pad tech is even older
The competitions controllers use newer tech than the dated DS4's.
Both Xbox One and Switch. That depends on which competition you are talking about
