Project Cars: PC vs. PS4

I was merely making a joke in the first sentence, which is made clear with the very next sentence. Didn't expect anyone to take it as a console battle comment. If so, my bad. Apology.

But the point still stand, either PS4 have secret sauce, or they cut out some stuff, how else do you otherwise explain why the screenshots are comparable, when people mention the game required quite a beefy PC to run at high res & smooth fps.

Yea, the definition between "smooth" fps on console and PC is totally different. Consolers will settle with a locked 30fps while it's 60fps or bust on PC. Console ver will most likely be locked 30fps, and that on PC is unacceptable.

If it's not framerate it will be in AA or Resolution. There will be a comprise somewhere on the console ver.

They already said they have it running at 60fps on PS4. So the compromise will be somewhere else.

It's pretty obvious they're skimping on anti-aliasing on the PS4 version to hit 60 fps.

Something to notice here. This article says a single vanilla GTX Titan can run Project cars at 60fps at 4K.

Now I am sure that at 4K they aren't running max settings to hit 60fps+ but still, to achieve 60fps at 4K at any settings seems impressive and not really all that demanding and Vanilla Titan performance is no longer considered high end in the PC market. I guess we will have to see at retail release.

Gives me hope that their VR implementation will perform good too.

PC version is clearly the best again....but I am a console warrior!

PC will always trump consoles in performance and graphics. Even from those pictures the AA looks like it's not up to par on PS4.

Makes one wonder what kind of graphical downgrades the XB1 version will see. No AA at all to reach 60fps?
I'm not sure but it will play just as well.

The Wii U version will run 4k/60 fps locked at ultra settings. With Mario as a test car driver.

PC Ultra have better AA & reflection, otherwise, its fairly identical with PS4 version fron the screenshot posted.
