Let's see how long this lasts this time...
Just checked. It's still available. Demand isn't making it sell out out like how X1 would pop up on Amazon and be sold quickly. Checking X1, it's still sold out.
Maybe Amazon got a huge shipment of PS4s cause you know Walmart got one. All I know, X1 was going for retail value on eBay (from launch date till the end of November) while the PS4 was going for a $100 more retail (from launch date till 12/15) on eBay.
Last time X1 was in stock at amazon it took at least 10 hours to sell out. Its been in stock at Best Buy for at least a week.
Interesting how sentiment flip flops when the shoe is on the other foot.
Well the XBOX ONE has been 1 through 4 on the Amazon top sales chart since it has launched for its category (still in top 20 right now, but has dropped due to no new systems available for the last 4 or 5 days). The PS4 hasn't even been in the top 20 since it launched. MS obviously is doing a great job of restocking, which is probably why it is currently ruling NA in sales.
Good to finally see Sony taking care of a region that is most important in the world. I may even get a 2nd PS4 to go in my bedroom.
Yeah I thought PS4 won November. X1 should win December though due to availability and that PS4s were not available for purchase/were hard to find from Dec 1 till Dec 14.
How do we know XBONE is ruling NA in sales? The only NPD data we have is from Nov and PS4 won that.
"How fast it sells out on Amazon" is meaningless unless you know the shipment/stock size, which you don't. Has anyone here but you used Amazon sell out times as proof of anything? I doubt it, knowing your eagerness to fabricate strawmen.Interesting how sentiment flip flops when the shoe is on the other foot.
I did read the NPD article, MSs claim of being the fastest selling system makes no sense to me. Like I said I'll wait for NPD numbers for Dec.
Still haven't sold my PS4... Trying to get 399$ for it now.. No one's bitten, and it's been on Craigslist for a day now...
Not saying demand isn't good for PS4, but no one seems to want a used PS4, even for less than the cost of a new one.
This only works if you decide to restrict the definition of november to being the days the console was out. It's VERY easy to understand, it just doesn't mean much:
1. PS4 sold roughly 1.1 Million over the course of 16 days.
2. X1 sold just over .9 Million over the course of 9 days.
Therefore, X1 (on average) sold more console per day. It is, therefore, the fastest selling console of November.
Nobody is going to buy your PS4 for cost when it demand is lower than store supply.Still haven't sold my PS4... Trying to get 399$ for it now.. No one's bitten, and it's been on Craigslist for a day now...

So from a sample size of 1 you can conclude this, I dare say its you and not the console.

Just comes off as spin to me, we all know Sony and MS sold most of their respective sales on the 1st day. So averages
in this case seems dumb.
Well of course it's spin, but it's also factually accurate. All companies put the best slant on the facts they can, so it puts them in the best light. Sony has done just as bad if not worse, but we're all smart enough to know the only data that matters coming out of the November numbers is that both sold out, and neither had a weak supply. Roughly a million on either side for one region during a world-wide launch is awesome.
