As much as i have always loved the PlayStation brand, no Sony. The PS4 is not the go to shooter console no matter how hard you try. Xbox always has had the interface and the better quality shooters to be the shooter console. Nice try though.
Give me Halo, Gears, and all the third party games over Resistance, Killzone, MAG, or whatever any day. Oh and i don't know why people seem to think Xbox being dubbed the shooter console is a bad thing. It does the genre well and still has plenty of other awesome games.

I agree its the shooter console as it runs the best shooters (3rd party) the best but Xbox One has the best exclusive shooter this gen Halo 5.
Xbox has always had the best shooter in every gen.
Just glad xbox is finally focusing less on shooters and more on other genres. My fav X1 games are Ori & the blind forest, ROTTR, FH2 etc. and next year is going to be the most diverse portfolio xbox has ever had. Good times.

After I finish Halo 5, the only other fps I'm interested in is Doom.
Star Wars BF does look awesome though. I'm Just not much of a multiplayer gamer anymore.

Oh yeah. Massively Avoided Game. The online community died fast.
I played it at a buddy's place and it wasn't bad. Maybe a 6 or 7/10. Tried to be like CoD, but worse visuals, 25-30 fps gameplay and weapons that all seemed like they were fake and made up. I'm no gun expert, but I don't remember seeing any real life guns that are well known.
And everything spams throwing green gas bombs at spawn points.
Can only but agree with the above. Unbelievable how MS let this happen after building up the 360 over so many years.
As an Xbox One guy, I'm devastated that I can't play Destiny, Battlefront, COD, etc. Sony has a huge advantage there.

Nope. I'm indifferent.
Doesn't matter to me which console has more shooter fans, RPG fans, or whatever....both have a shat load of players. No one will find a shortage of people to play with on either console. it's all good.

It's just a bit ironic that the PS4 would become the "home for shooters", lol, when so many derogatory comments were made about the Mountain Dew swilling x360 shooter console crowd..
The Final Fantasy 7 remake will be broken into chunks somehow.
In a press release regarding the Final Fantasy 7 remake gameplay trailer released at PlayStation Experience this weekend, Square Enix revealed a surprising bit of news.
“Square Enix debuted a new trailer for Final Fantasy 7 Remake, the full remake of the award-winning role-playing game, Final Fantasy 7. The new trailer features the first CG scenes as well as gameplay footage,” the publisher wrote.
So far, so standard press release. But then:
“Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be told across a multi-part series, with each entry providing its own unique experience.”
Wha- what does that mean? Are we looking at an episodic release, with save files carrying across between chunks of story? Is this talk of “unique experience”s suggesting a different approach to gameplay in each part? How many parts are we looking at? When will the first part drop? Is “Final Fantasy 7 remake” really the official title – really?
So many questions, absolutely zero answers. Stay tuned for clarification in the next few days, as every games writer in the west is currently hammering Square Enix PR’s phone.

I'm also disappointed that they are changing the gameplay. The voices are cheesy too. Too anime. I wish they would hire some real voice actors instead of these stock, anime-style actors. Still don't like Cloud's skinny arms. At least they look cut, but he just doesn't look like some elite soldier to me.
Hopefully it is good. I fear the "Multi-part" angle could result in an incomplete series if sales don't go where they want.

I really want to kick someone in the balls right now. Preferably someone involved in the decision making process for this game.
