Thanks to the new law (click here) now we know

Taking a look at current listings for similar QA jobs at Riot Games (QA Engineer), Bungie (Destiny Test Lead), and Blizzard (Diablo 4 Test Lead), Blizzard is listing the lowest pay of the three. The salary range for the Blizzard role is between $49,600.00 - $91,760.00. While this is a pretty wide range, it’s below the ranges listed for Riot ($98,009 - $132,700) and Bungie ($86,000 - $108,000).

Imagine wanting to keep these guys working in s*** conditions because MS owning COD scares you so much in regards to PS dominance between the two.

I hate to "defence" corp, but there is a lot of missing info that IMO looks like directing a narrative than being fair & objective.
Question 1, why compare Bungie & Riot? What about others? What's the average? Are they selected as they paid the highest to make Blizzard looks bad?

Also does pay include labor on their Outsourcing films? We DO know Bungie and Riot outsource huge chunks of work to way cheaper locations with far worst labor laws and work conditions. Ar these taken into account?

I think they’re the ones with the biggest internal qa teams. A lot of studios outsource their qa to third party staffing agencies, which still work on site, but don’t get paid the same, sometimes better but at the cost of no benefits and or other privileges.

Thanks for the info. There are a lot of factors that must be considered other than one pay higher or lower hence they are good or bad.
it is not a government job where you can pay people same rate for same job No matter where they work, and what they work.

a QA engineer job job scope can be very different from another company And many other factors.

That's what I did when I "worked for Activision" for a couple of days back in 2005, I was technically hired by a staffing agency called Volt. There were a ton of people there doing that, I worked on a GBA Tony Hawk game but other people in our area were working on an x-men game from Raven and I think a couple of other games too. They have that type of QA tester all over the place, in the basement of the main building as well as other floors plus at the time they had rented office space in another building that was next door.
