It's Pachter so the opposite must be true. It was first planned to be an exclusive now turned multiplatform and is on PC too with Spiderman Remastered/Miles!

I'm skeptical of Pachter due to his outspoken personality but people need to remeber that he's been very correct on the FTC vs MS case and he's a market director at Wedbush Securities and a damn good one at that. He's got some credibility.

Anyway he also says Marvel took it to Sony and MS so all I am learning is MS f***ed up.
Yeah a former Marvel game studios exec has said in the past that they went to Microsoft first asking about making an exclusive deal for an IP and were turned down so they went to Sony and they said yes.

So Pachter basically said the same thing as that Marvel exec, went to both MS and Sony for a Marvel game, MS wasn't interested and wanted to focus on its own IP, Sony was and the rest is history.

PlayStation had the choice of choosing what hero to use and gave that choice to Insomniac and they chose Spiderman. So there was never a multiplatform Spiderman deal being signed anywhere. Spiderman was Insomniac's hero of choice.

His predictions are what’s off. However when it comes to actually sticking to what he knows he is very good. He was told this information directly.

Yep. As a prediction guy he has a poor track record. But he has called it every step of the way in the Activision buyout.

I'm also going to guess Sony would be more inclined to try and push Insomniac into working on a spiderman game than any other Marvel project due to the obvious reason.

If they pushed them onto Spiderman that would mean development didn't start before they were involved. In that case what is he even revealing here?

The answer is nothing new was revealed. We already knew all of this a few months ago when Marvel themselves told us. Just some more rabid fans spinning a narrative much alike Rift Apart's SSD debate. We were told all these in the past for both lol.

Seems that Sony fans are displaying double standards again.
