Umm...no. The lack of gameplay was the reason I lowered MS's rating; I felt this was pretty evident in my explanation. I'm upfront about the fact that I tend to have preference for MS's exclusives, but do not make the mistake of thinking it's a double standard. I gave MS the better rating because they paced themselves and stuck to the game content like they said they would. They had more announcements that I care about as well, hence the better rating. They were classy too without taking cheap shots at the competition. To be fair, their show wasn't all CGI either:
KI Season 2: Gameplay
Sunset Overdrive: Gameplay
Fable Legends: Gameplay
Ori: Gameplay
Inside: Gameplay
Halo Collection: It was brief, but there was gameplay (I'm surprised you missed this with your lack of graphical upgrades comment) More gameplay has been shown post show too.
Project Spark: Gameplay
They should have shown gameplay for Phantom Dust, Halo 5, Crackdown, and Scalebound. They get down rated for that.
Sony's show was poorly paced by comparison. (I really did fall asleep during the non-gaming stuff and had to rewatch) As far as the games go though, Uncharted 4 looks beautiful but no real gameplay was shown. The same can be said for Bloodborn, and it is a relative unknown for me so it's hard to get excited about. The Order so far seems to fall victim to the same trap as previous Metal Gear games, watching more cutscenes then actual gameplay. It has cool potential, but I can't get excited about it without it opening up more. And I'm sorry, but I've just never cared about LBP.
Honestly, both conferences were pretty close. MS's conference got almost a full letter grade increase just for announcing Phantom Dust, something I've been waiting on for years. Take that into consideration, and they are definitely very close. Some of you people need to realize that personal preference does not equate to bias or double standards. I'm brutally honest about what I like or don't like. If that's contrary to your opinion it isn't confirmation of some nefarious agenda. Believe it or not, I don't gain anything by not liking Sony's offerings. The more games that interest me the better, but I'm not going to feign interest for someone else's benefit.
