Hello Far Eden Explorers!

We are excited to announce the ReCore Definitive Edition which lets players experience the game’s mysterious and dynamic world with enhanced visuals (increased resolution and HDR), a brand-new adventure, “Eye of Obsidian”, and the long-awaited T8-NK Corebot (“Tank”) who joins Joule, Mack, Seth, Duncan, and Violet as they explore new environments and dungeons while battling the deadly “Obsidian Cult”.

In addition to driving the T8-NK over quicksand and traveling across Far Eden with new power and speed, players will enjoy new weapon modes for Joule, new gear for all Corebots, more enemy types and many other gameplay and performance enhancements. Right on! Free for existing purchases. Nice job!

Good to see MS still supported this but I remember the happy hour interview with Phil last year and it felt like he felt bad for the short dev time which clearly hurt the game.

I am not sure how far I am in this game yet, other than what I mentioned above about three sections of the floor being on fire (one at a time)....but I read something about the game sucks when you get in some building or tower and you are on different floors and the 3rd floor sucks and people gave up?

Some people did, yup. It gets overly challenging towards the end IMO. Some people didnt mind it too much. Still the most fun ive had in a while. You'll see...

The main tower stops the story dead as you need a set number of cores to open each floor

Any word on whether they rebalanced the end of the game or is it still the same grind? Sounds like it stayed the same.

Wow...when it swipes to show you the difference I am floored. So did they actually go in and add all that detail and sharpness, improved clouds, etc, or were they ALWAYS there, and then they toned it all down to match the performance of the Xbox One? Then all they had to do was ENABLE it all again for the Xbox One X?

Much of it was likely already made. I think the Current one runs at 720p, right? That alone would hide a ton of detail.

Watching on GamesCon right now.

I have it already, but glad I waited to play it.

Shows how far behind i am. Already getting a definitive edition of a game that came out last year. I have every intention of playing ReCore soon, i just can't really get into the bigger games during the Summer. Keep saying i will, then i don't. It's too nice outside.

The fast travel, load times fix and filling that empty area sound like significant fixes to the 3 biggest complaints during reviews. Wonder if Recore will get a re-review anywhere. Definitely buying this now.

Worked fine for me. Got the new bot then decided I would hold off to play it in the 4k

Bought it today. First impressions are good because I really like the controls and gameplay mechanics. Only beat the first part but there is a solid core to build around.
