Official Thread ReCore: Definitive Edition

Got it still in shrinkwrap from the $15 Christmas deal. I really want to play but no time at all. Priorities to Zelda then Horizon then maybe Recore (or Doom). Too much goodness!

Got my copy in the mail today. Couldn't be bothered by the 50% off or whatever i could have gotten, i still go for physical most of the time. So it's just a matter of time before i play ReCore now! If it doesn't get lost in my backlog forever..

Really hope it gets another chance with proper development time

From everything I read and watched on this game, it was a year of development away from being a solid franchise. Sounds like the core mechanics are there. I keep waiting to hear there's a remixed version coming soon. One that adds polish and subtracts the end of game grinding.

And a proper AAA budget. Would be a huge success in my opinion.
Started the game this morning. f***ing loving it so far. Question for you, how am I supposed to color match? Is it using the dpad somehow? It kinda confuses me right now.

Didn't they add some end stuff that basically 'completes' the game?

So, sure the game isn't as beautiful as say, Rise of the Tomb Raider. And it has some rough edges:

I assume with more time and effort they can make the game look prettier. Though things like the above screenshot haven't seemed to impact my game play at all so far.

Well, I found and unlocked the red weapon. I hope it's not long before I find the yellow and blue one. This game is addicting, like crack. So when I blow apart all the little boxes and the jewels come out, what good are all those jewels for?

Also, I noticed at times that my weapon goes to low ammo. I don't see an ammo hud nor do I know where to find ammo?

Those boxes hold parts for your companions. You use them while at your base. Also, you dont run out of ammo - you just need to ease up on the trigger -- give your weapon time to cool down.

Thanks! And when will I get the other color weapons for my D pad?

In the fullness of time. (Your mileage may vary.)

I seem to remember them being relatively soon after you get the first, though.

Just know you need 45 cores to compete the game so don't try to rush

Good thing I am spending more time pulling the cores out instead of just blasting them apart. Man this game is underrated. It's so fun.

Mean the crystal cores not the ones you pull from robots
