Rumored "bad news" incoming about Sony review event, game reviews, or something completely different

He certainly doesn't write like someone who writes for a living. Count the spelling and grammatical mistakes, not to mention the use of caps and exclamation points everywhere. He writes like an illiterate kid trying to create a stir.

You noticed that too, huh? Also, the off hand crack about debug kits over heating! Debug kits are over-engineered to avoid over-heating.

Ok, I'll skim the past few pages. lol.

Was busy checking stats as my pools have been on a roll lately. I'm now first place in a 90 person hockey pool, second place in a 12 person pool, third place in an 8 person pool...... (kind of weird that the more people there are the better my team?) and my NFL team is getting better each week. I can smell the money again! Last year I won about $1,000 worth of poolie cash. Yeah!

Depends on the reviewer. On my amateur game site, we got some free game codes from a handful of indie devs. I took one of them and my buddy took 2 of them.

Out of a 5 pt scale, I gave the game a 1/5. Total trash.

I've been gone for 9 hours, did I miss any sort of confirmation or useful additional info regarding this crapola? I don't have the willpower to attempt to read through what I missed.

Yeah a new rumour created by the amazingly credible GAF people. All too coincedentally right after a very nice video of the Xbox One's OS surfaced, where it showed some of the new features and being really fast too. Guess what..the rumour is about a complete f***ing mess of a OS...LMAOOOoooo!

Anyone else find it convenient that all we have heard are news from supposed MS insiders...yet next to nothing from Sony insiders? what gives lol

Yup. When it comes to reviews, I typically ignore the first third of it as it's background story and filler that is basically cookie cutter info every article has (it's like the editor got a PR pamplhet and cut and pasted in some filler). I zone in on technical aspects (frame rate, screen tearing, loading times etc...), detail about modes, gameplay and things like that. If the reviewer goes into extra detail like telling people what the button functions are, if the game has replay value due to amount of content or randomization aspects that's a bonus.

Watching videos, I can typically tell how well the game will look despite low quality YT feeds, but some things need to be explained as YT feeds can hide technical issues due to its low res feed which a real game in front of one's own eyes will notice.

Exactly man and i decided to reply there too. This s*** is becoming laughable..it's like they arent even trying anymore. They could have at least waited more hours after that OS video, hahah.

I think it's the extra megawattz from that hidden DGPU that's throwing off the spelling, because obviously there's no doubt that an anonymous comment on such a reputable site could be anything but definitive. :banana:

Nothing but rumor and speculation on other sites. Sessler says it's not Xbox and it only impacts a handful of people like him that practice a particular form of videogame journalism. The SDF is out in force trying to start counter-rumours to deflect attention. They're not gaining much traction, 'though.

Yeah...a bit pathetic really how some folks started to have Cerny avatars, saying he's the best thing that has ever happened. Same with folks that have Tretton avatars or anyone from MS,thing is...i havent seen someone with a MS person avatar yet. Cerny and Tretton however....sigh. We'll see how much of a god he truly is come launch. His game Knack certainly aint showing something i'd call a God's work, lol.
