I'd probably be more willing to buy the DLC if the maps were playable in solo mode. I hit lvl 50 pretty quick that way. I'm giving it a break now but I'll come back and try to get to 100. Survival looks pretty sweet tho.

The only thing about Survival Mode is that there is no survival because of the health penalties. You should check out which dlc contains the map Emperors Road. So far Emperors Road is the most challenging map I think Ive played. It will challenge you even in Arena Mode. The final few waves are hell.
Does it annoy any of you guys when your co-op partner jumps in on your kills? It annoys me, I usually quit the match after the rotation is finished if I get a partner like that. I try not to interfere with another persons kills(Ill stand beside them tapping the A button trying to root them on). Ive noticed some people will stand by and let you get your combo and kill finished, but a lot do not.
I got to get back to finishing this game. I think I stopped at Act 4.
Not a great game, but decent. I'd say a 6/10. Not worth $60, but if you see it bargain binned at $20-30 it's worth grabbing esp. if you plan on the coop/colosseum modes.

Dknasty9, I finally see how to continue a combo using the taunt. I thought you could only use the taunt once to extend the life of your combo. I know now you can use it as many times as you want. I got a 96 hit combo yesterday.

I finally had a couple games of Survival that I broke the 100 mark on my combos. I got a 112 and 116 hit combo tonight. Im a level 108 I think. I hit Tier 5 yesterday. You can level up pretty fast playing Survival, but like Solo Mode, there are only a few maps you can play on. I cant wait to make Tier 6. Then I can finally focus on getting the best armor in the game.
I decided to go back to the Campaign to unlock achievements and executions. I played through the Campaign on Centurion level, and now have started playing through on Legendary. Legendary is quiet a jump in difficulty from Centurion level. So far, I have died more in the first few levels on Legendary than I have died through two play throughs on Soldier and Centurion levels. Im stuck on a section of the beach landing level. Its the part where you have to take down like 20 archers with pilums before they can kill your men or you. It takes 2 pilum hits to kill each archer on Legendary. Ive tried and tried but I cant get through it. Any tips would be appreciated.
Yeah Ryse is amazing visually. The story was pretty good too imo. Crytek will probably make a lot of money selling the CryEngine thanks to Ryse.
I also think Crytek has done the groundwork for a AAA IP with Ryse. Would like to see a sequel with 4p co-op, with more equipment models, and more depth to the combat. Keep the execution cam, and add even more executions. Keep the graphics quality, and write another entertaining story, and Ryse 2 would get the sales and reviews they want imo.
Considering the game started as a kinect only and a first person and shifted focus halfway to controller, 3rd person its really good. Alot of games never change their focus and don't end half as good. Sad.
Oh yeah that part was a bitch. You have to stand close enough to do the quick throw. It's tough because you have to reposition. The charge for aimed throwing is too long
You know what i love about a game like Ryse and the Xbox One itself? I haven't even played this game in months but i still enjoy going back and watching my clips. So many epic moments!
