That's exactly how I felt. Loved the beta. Thought "okay, these features will definitely be explained more in-depth in the real game" since it was the beta but NOPE. That's may biggest issue with the game -- lack of explanation for many features on top of pretty much no story.

Destiny definitely has its fun moments but it just feels very bare bones to me.
 
If Pachter's prediction is true I don't think there will be any meltdowns it'll just be surprising.

Didn't effect the game for now. I'm positive that many will be moving to the big November shooters when they release though.

Destiny was suppose to have really long legs and while I'm sure there will still be people playing the game this time next year, the mixed reviews and word-of-mouth is definitely going to have an impact on the sales and longevity it could have had.

What's your gt? Id like to know how many hours you actually played it.

It has really long legs and if it slowed down from the over 3 million daily players the new content will bring em back.

Same as my name here. Played it for around 10 hours -- the Xbox One time tracking feature probably won't show that though since it's busted (think it still says that I've played Titanfall for only 10 hours; it has been that way for months even though I'm sure I've played for 30+ hours).


It has really long legs and if it slowed down from the over 3 million daily players the new content will bring em back.

The content is there but it's just not explained well and the lack of story makes things seem more like a chore than they really are IMO.
 
Most people I know that bought Destiny still play it almost daily, sure it's not a perfect game but it's better than some seem to be giving it credit for.

You can check the bungie ID, that gives you the exact amount of time you've played the game. Just link us to the page. Like this:

Good lord, it says I played over two days. And I barely touched the competitive multiplayer which will probably add more time. But I'm more interested in PvE content to get better weapons and then I'll jump into multi. But even if I don't invest much time in that the new expansion packs will give me more reason to continue to play Destiny. Obviously I think its a great game with some shortcomings but overall I think its a well put together gaming package.

Definitely can't be right.

I spent more than two hours playing the game the first day it released. Started early in the morning (around 6 AM) on the day it released and played until at least 9 AM. Played the game multiple times since then.

My posts about the quality of the game were always in my opinion. Only thing I stated as a fact was that people will be moving on from it and some already have.

Heh, checked the Xbox Achievements app -- said I played Destiny for "0 minutes" even though I have multiple achievements. Something must have happened during the first hours that the game was available to play (got it digitally). Very funny.

Yup, the timeline aligns with your playtimes. Still only 2.5 hours invested in terms of gameplay though.

I don't put much stock in the game time played in the cheevo app, my times are all fuq'd. It says I've played TF for 15(?) hrs, when in reality I've easily played at least 4x's that..

Spent a lot of time in menus and outside of missions but that still doesn't add up to me. Very strange. Oh well, doesn't really matter. Planning to get to at least level 20 before Sunset Overdrive releases.

Yeah, I definitely know that it has problems. It's just funny since it's the only game that I have at "0 hours" even though I played it more than other titles I have.

The type of game Destiny is requires much time to begin to get a jist of what its about.

You really should. Going up to level 20 is basically the tutorial for the endgame and the endgame is where Destiny really shines.

I definitely will but that's still a flaw IMO. Shouldn't have to play up to that point (guessing 6-7 hours) for the game to start really shining.
 
That was Too Humans main problem. You basically had to play it in New game+ mode for it to really be fun.
