The reason why Bone sales falling behind PS4 sales worldwide is important...

The PS2

When one hardcore console distances itself from competition, it creates a super console.

The Bone is trying to prevent us from getting our super console.

Where does it say the PS4 sold more worldwide in November? We already know the Xbox dominated UK and US. Btw the gap is shrinking ;)

They'd have to move a ton of units above average to make up that kind of gap, even world wide. It's not like black Friday is a global thing anyway.

Big difference between PS2 at 150M and XB/GC at 25-30M each vs. PS4/X1 user base.

So the chances of PS4 having such a big lead like the PS2 days is zero at this point.

Although PS2 had more unit sales than XB/GC, what those two systems didn't have in sales, they had in quality. Comparing similar games, the XB/GC versions were always better than the PS2 version.

NPD won't say because it's only based on NA. The gap is shrinking in US/UK.

It's not entirely impossible though.

Oh the super console doesn't present itself at 150 million. It just needs to show a sizeable enough difference between it and second place. No one knows the exact ratio but I suspect, going by current rates, the PS4 will become super console in two to three years.

It can possibly be a super console. Nobody can predict the future.

But given the recent batch of games comparisons, PS4 has a bit better resolution in some games, while X1 has a bit better frame rate. So quality wise, pretty much even. If anything, the gap in gaming quality is basically zero, when at launch PS4 had better res and/or visuals in many games.

PS4 games have stagnated in quality, while X1 games are on the upswing. It's rare for a system's games after one year to be no better than launch as launch games are typically just "port-fests". There's always noticeable improvement, but PS4 proved otherwise.

The super console has nothing to do with a consoles power. You might not have known this but the PS2 was weaker than both the XBox and GameCube.

It has everything to do with its commercial dominance over its competition.

Both weren't destined to sell a boat load because of the huge influx of multiplatform titles this time of the year.

Thanks for the history tip. But I already know those consoles sold the best in their generation, though I'd debate you that Genesis was pretty close in sales and quality vs SNES.

Let's get back to the recent news from yesterday. The news bite where X1 outsold PS4 and Wii U combined..... you can actually add in Vita and PS TV too.

Most up to date sales have PS4 at 1m in Germany, XB1 around 170k. In France the PS4 is 300k, XB1 120k in Spain PS4 is 360k to XB1 with 51k, in Italy the PS4 has 74% of Next Gen marketshare and is expected to have 500k sales by end of the year.
 
HALO MCC has been a disaster, if it worked from day one it would be so much more popular (obviously)

Well I find it funny you have a real issue with someone pulling for an underdog in consoles like MS, assuming I even am. I actually slam things I don't like(MCC) and pull for and defend things I do(UC4), unlike you its 100% ALL sony positive. It just so happens sony has less I like atm, but they have the potential to blow MS away, they just aren't for whatever reason.

The way I see MS is trying to do the right thing and it upsets you. Oh well, maybe sony will come around and I can be on your "agreed" and "liked" spamming list like the other hardcore sony fans. One could only hope.
 
So personal for Intelli. Congrats on MS selling more for one month out of the year so far.
