Storage Expansion For Xbox Series X/S

The problem with the cost is that if I'm spending that, I'm almost halfway to a PS5 (more for a digital).
And people are already complaining about only have 650gb free on the PS5. I am just not gonna horde games on PS5. I will delete them when I am done. I didn't do that in the past. I already deleted the Astro Bot game or whatever it is called.

The cost of 1TB vs the cost of an entire console just seems too high.

In reality, these next gen consoles cost $750 or more for most practical use. Needing storage expansion down the road is normal, but right away?

Dude, 1TB PCI-E Gen 4 drives are expensive, there's just no getting around that at this time. When they eventually allow expandable SSD storage on the PS5 the 1TB drives are about the same price as the Xbox expansion card.

Y'all wanted fast and got fast and are now complaining about the price of fast. LOL.

People wanted fast loading times and the latest hardware and they got them. Now they are complaining about the prices. Welcome to bleeding edge technology.
Totes, I remember buying my first 1tb hhd for under a hundred bucks, during a sale, and think I got a great deal. This year I bought a 4tb hhd for 60 and thought to my self “I was young and a fool” when I pondered back at at my first hhd those many two-ish years ago....”I should’ve waited, but I wouldn’t be who I am now without it” :p

Bought my younger brother the 1tb external for Christmas. Lucky dog. I cant bring myself to spend it for my own system yet, lol.

I have many siblings so we do a secret Santa for one so we can give one good gift instead of a million cheap ones. I got my brother this year.

Last year I got his wife and bought her a replica of Geralt's Sword and amulet from the Witcher 3.

She got me the elite controller the year before. Good system till you get a younger sister who buys you a model trebuchet for 20 bucks, lol.

I remember buying my first SSD period. I still have it in fact, enough though it is retired. It was a 128GB Kingston HyperX. I think that cost me about 150 dollars 7 years ago or something like that.

The way I’m viewing the low storage space is the SSD is my current rotation, and my external saves me from redownloading games and lets me test out non-enhanced games

Who's all bought one of these? What do you think if you have? I'm getting annoyed with deleting, transferring to and from the external. Considering finally pulling the trigger.

I haven't yet but will eventually. I'm sort of using the small drive to make me finish games and uninstall before buying new ones.

I've been watching prices and never seen this on sale yet.

I have had it since day one. I forget I even have it. Haven't removed any games. It feels like it's just another internal SSD. Performance is identical. Yes, it's over priced. But I think the entire hobby can be expensive, so I just chalk it up to that.

I spend WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more on my golf equipment o_O

How many games do you keep on your internal and external to warrant this at all? I've got like 20 something games and still have like 500GB leftover.

Got one and honestly forgot it was a thing. Transfers are hella quick, I got maybe 20 games and still got over a tb of space left. I like to put ganes I own and play most often on the internal. GP and GWG Xbox one games on the external.

I still have my X1X, primarily use the external for it. A bunch of the games I have installed on the XSX are quite large (Master Chief Collection, Gears 5, AC: Valhalla, Cyberpunk, Forza Horizon 4, etc.). I like playing a little of this and a little of that, but I'm pretty much full now. Having something plugged directly into the system that I don't have to think about would be great. I'm not overly concerned with the price, should have bought one earlier.

Are they becoming scarce? Should I buy some and flip them for thrice the price ;)

Make sure to push it all the way in. I didn’t and thought I had a dud.

Hallelujah for Seagate packaging these well, because Amazon thought a super flimsy bubble mailer was the best way to ship a $215 item!

Luckily no damage. Working perfectly so far, yay.

It's a pretty slick subtle design. MS said that other companies will be producing more sizes. I am personally a minimalist, so I hope they design it like this one, even though I don't see it anymore. I don't want some bulky neon green card from Zenith sticking out of the back.

They might have bigger cases but....
We can just buy multiple of these if need be.

Imagine if they’d make like a third party splitter/hub where you could plug in multiple ones...I still feel like they should’ve put two ports in the back though
I'm just waiting to subscribe to SSDpass and just pay per month.
