Game really is great and I'm not sure why it doesn't get the praise it deserves outside of MS tweets.
Because it wasn't ready when it was first released and took a while to get the kinks worked out. It's better than the first one in a lot of ways, it's too bad they didn't just buy that studio before the first game and put the money into making it a proper AAA game. The concept is great that was clear before the first one even came out but it's the execution that's flawed.

Wut, there was nothing wrong at launch lol

I finished the PC version a few months back. The current version of the game is a substantial improvement over the original release.

He is right. Game had loads of bugs. Coop was near unplayable. Some performance issues.
Nope, I actually played this launch day, coop, and no, it wasn't a mess. You two show your achievements from your gamertag around launch and I might take what you say into consideration, right now you just sheeply follow the media narrative.

Struck a nerve, jebuz, relax lol

Also...I was wrong, you played at release, sorry for not believing you.

Still, you're wrong.
I was joking too but I'm sure you knew that, not wrong though believe me I was pissed at some of the bugs especially when I beat a juggernaut and then it crashed completely twice. MS should have purchased that studio after the first game (they eventually did in 2019) and put more money into the sequel, they (undead labs) were only working with xbox anyway and the concept behind the game is great, the sequel deserved more resources IMO

I just started this up again. It sure plays different than the last time I played. Very smooth. Hopefully I won't have 2 juggernauts and those damn things that walk on all fours wipe out my best fighters this time around.

I still rock this game heavy. In fact I've never put so many hours into one game in my entire life. Can't wait for SD3.
Just hope SD3 really expands on the game. SD 2's only real evolvement was CO-OP , wyich is nice, but I want base stuff to be expanded, character development expanded, crafting expanded.

I mean, why can't my base have an electrified fence? Why can't I mount a 50 cal LMG to my Sniper Tower or my vehicle?

Less babysitting too. Let people fend for themselves.

I played a decent amount, but I didn't love the basebuilding and resource gathering. Also it did kinda run clunky on my Xbox One. Now that I have a Series X and it's in 60 FPS I'm sure it's better, but I'll probably wait for State of Decay 3 before I touch it again.

You have the easy mode now though (green zone), you hardly have to micromanage anything if you don't want to.

So you still recruit and what not, but resource gathering and micromanaging isn't as prevalent? I felt like I was spending like 75% of my time in that game fixing stuff and my guys were always injured lol. Combat was pretty fun, and it was cool to get to know the survivors, but it just left me wanting more out of it I guess.
