Official Thread The Division v. 2

I still die a lot solo. I'm learning that you have to scout your area and really watch for places someone can flank you (especially different floors). I was in a fight and suddenly someone dropped down right on top of me. Basically, at least once in the fight I just have to fall back. Once you see red warnings from more than one direction, that's the time to fall back otherwise you get surrounded.

I'm having a blast though. I think a higher rate of fire marksman rifle + an LMG is the way to go for now. I'm glad I got this on PC as I can imagine with a controller it is even harder. The AI is just so good at flanking. What is tough is when some armored boss is lobbing grenades at you while everyone else is rushing and flanking.

The more I play this the more it is becoming one of the best games I’ve played in years. I wish I had more time to play it.
Man wait till you see some of the cool missions later in the game. The level design and objectives just make it so damn cool it hurts. If Tom Clancy was still alive he'd be really impressed with the game. Both on a technical level and because I think it's the first title to really capture the feel of his writing.

I have an M4 police replica set up that is so bad ass. 72 round banana clip on it, 850 rpm, fully nodded with all the accessories. It has very little recoil so its practically a laser and it reloads fast.
And the best part is that I did a mission which allows me craft the rifle so I just make a new one every time I level up to bump up the stats. Its awesome.

I really like the game world they’ve created. I never find myself disinterested in what I’m doing or feel like I’m grinding.

Amazing launch they deserve a lot of credit.

When the rooms still full of baddies and you're all out of ammo except for your side arm.

Lol.

But to be fair, with how often you change gear in 1 to 30 it isn't really worth doing.

Yeah I'm not bothering to check anything other than which has the highest armour at the moment.

How does the perk system work in this one? I can see the three colour bars going up and I change my gear but I'm not sure how it works in this.

If you are playing solo, I'm telling you- make sure you have the auto turret. Before engagements throw it somewhere with good, high sight-lines. That way it gets a higher angle if they take cover. It will help control your flanks. You can also tag targets for it. I lean on it pretty hard in the bigger firefights.

It also draws their attention and makes it easier to maneuver. It's a life saver.

Another thing this game does is it really makes me want to call NPCs for help. I never do that in games. Good s***.

You say that, but from levels like 17 through 22, I've migrated a green "5% XP on headshot kill" each time I've changed equipment. I have actually been able to use some generic mods now, too. :)

I got my first two yellows today (home sick, so I played a ton). One was a gear piece that honestly I don't remember which part it was, but it was pretty poor, so I kept the equipped purple. The second was an SMG with a holster ability that added weapon handling, so I kept it holstered and used it as my closeup weapon for a level or so, but I'm back on a purple.

I've been (I assume) pretty lucky with some drops and have a high amount of +damage to elites gear, plus something like +16% armor on kill and some health on kill. It may have helped a lot, although I did get wiped twice quickly in the rotunda of the National Archives, plus I got wiped out twice relatively quickly when I went after a control point that, apparently, was also close to a confrontation zone and also an enemy supply convoy wandered in. Getting people coming at me from three directions was a bit too much.

I think I ran out of ammo on my primary for the first time today. Fortunately I was down to two purples in the area and they were fairly close so the LMG secondary worked out well enough. Fortunately I no longer have the sawed off as the sidearm so I've got a little backup if things go s*** again.

Hit level 20 tonight and got my first gold. A backpack that's pretty sweet looking.
Even better though I got the urban camo weapon skin that makes my sniper rifle look kick ass.

I've found that supply drops can offer some good loot. They're alittle more difficult too.

again though, why? That 5% isn't doing much for you at all. i'm not saying you can't use the through 1 to 30, just that IMO the tedium of constantly swapping them out over multiple pieces just even worth it.

When it comes to early golld gear don't worry about the attributes, it is the talents you wanna focus on. I got one piece in the early 20s and kept it till level 30. Why, because it had the Calculated talent that gave 20% skill cooldown every kill. It was a game changer.

Game is down for me. Anyone else unable to play?
Maintenance. Will be down for another 60 to 90 minutes.

One thing they are doing in this maintenance is,
Improved survivability of low level players against enemy NPCs when playing co-op with a player of higher level

it isn't too disimilar to Div 1. More red = more damage output. More blue means more surviveability.

The difference lies in weapon & gear talent unlocks. It is no longer a case of once you unlock it you have it. Now you have to manage what kind of attributes you are adding. It makes your talents a far more important factor in your build.

For example : Calculated needs 7 or more skill attributes and that gives me 20% cooldown on skills per kill...but lets say I want Skill Duration instead, the Talent for that might require 5 or less skill attributes, so I can't have both.

Yeah, just figured it out. I got that Calculated piece as well. I've only 6 points on it at the moment do i'm just waiting for the right piece to come along.

Anyway... back to....."work".... for me. :hehe:

So am I correct most of the Anthem players have migrated to Divsion 2?

Is this game the 2nd coming of Back street boys we are looking for?

For the last few levels I’ve been using a Military P416 assault rifle. This thing is a laser with really high stability making headshots a lot easier to make. But last night I got a Socom assault rifle with higher stability but it jumps around like a grasshopper, da heck. I’m wondering if there is a bug affecting some stats and how they perform.
