The Football/Soccer Thread

The first half was hilarious. Tim Howard getting an assist summed up the Toon defense. The second half they looked much better, especially when Cabaye came on. Newcastle need to get their best players fit and playing again, mainly Cabaye and Cisse. They rely too much on some Ben Arfa magic to save them.

I was drunk on Saturday night and decided that Moyes won't last a season at Old Trafford, despite all the talk of long-term management.

Big call. I'm sticking with it (and I hope I'm wrong).

What a first half from Everton. Total demolition job. Newcastle were lucky not to be 5-6 down at half time. Lukaku Was beasting it. Why the fook did Chelsea loan him out again ?

Champtions league back tonight. Got some great looking games with the likes of Arsenal v Napoli tonight and Man City v Bayern tomorrow.

Happy to see Dawson has signed a new deal. Still cant believe AVB wanted rid of him last season.

Adnan! what a debut

give this kid whatever wages he wants lol dont do another Pogba please

We got the result in the end I guess. Townsend gave England a spark that we've been lacking in recent times. Could be a good player in the future for club and country.

Barca played well today. United gave up 2 against Stoke. Even though United won it's still the fact that it was 3-2. They to get back into their old form.

it was embarrassing defending from us

saved by 2 mins of good crosses and headers... we did f*** all second half apart from that :| i aint complaining though :D

LOL

A win is a win and I'll take it. We can do better though, and I hope to see improvement next week.

Cleverley and Jones in midfield

United game will be very interesting. Old Trafford isn't as tough a place to go as it used to be and Arsenal's midfield could really do some damage if it lines up against Jones and Cleverley... but United are still a great team despite some recent results. Can't wait.

United fans do not really have experience with manger changes. It was always likely to have issues, but Moyes is a great manager. He has a quality side, and come January he can get in some new players. I have no doubt he will still be here next season.

Anybody else see that Stoke v Southampton game ? The Wind ran a muck in that game. I have never seen the ball bounce so high in BPL game before. Begovic scored from a goal kick.

Surprised they let Hugo stay on the pitch yesterday but then he made a great save minutes later so maybe he was OK.

Barcelona is handling business as usual. Chelsea is playing Superb, this is what I wanted to see after that Newcastle lost

Arsenal take their chance and withstand a relentless Dortmund press to become the first english team in history to beat them at home in the Champions League.
Huuuuge win for the gunners.
