To those who consider fortnite casual, would the main reason behind that it being free?

What if CODs BR went free to play, would it to be then considered casual?

^I doubt that.

and...
Fortnite is the pinnacle of casual gaming.
AKA TRASH

Been around for 10 years and still has around 100m monthly users.

Let's see if Fortnite is still relevant in 3 years let alone 10

As great as Minecraft is, it never really resonated with teenage or adult gamers. Fortnite appeals to the Red Dead crowd and the Minecraft crowd. It's wide appeal should have been taken into consideration for these outlets. It's too bad most haven't matured from their single player focus.

So it's not clicked with kids or adults... Who are all these people still playing it every month?

Dogs?

I thought this was a really good video breaking down RDR2's design. Almost everything the guy said had me standing up, looking around while pointing at the screen and yelling "He gets it! This guy gets it!"

(Except for the part where he says "RDR2 has some of the best writing and characters of any piece of fiction I've ever consumed". Just...ignore that part.)

Love how he mentions 4/5 of my favorite games this gen at the 5:06 mark too.

I've struggled to enjoy gaming for the past few years. I was pleasantly surprised for a game like "God Of War" to remind me what it's like to lose yourself in a digital world.
The accolades and praise for this masterpiece are well deserved.

It's averaging 83 on Metacritic, with a user score 88/89, so that IGN review is way below the average.

Here's a more positive view:

I always said before, puzzles should be designed to be interesting than hard (It can be both, but interesting comes first) & Gris seems to understand this.
