Did they admit it or just say "we have no plans for..." you know when a 3rd party gives that answer it's timed lol.
I dono, i tried it the other day and I was put off by it in the first 15 minutes, felt like an ancient resident evil game. That and not one into horror games lol felt like cal of the sea, I really wanted to get into it cos the art direction looked fire but didn’t get past the first room.
And it's not changed... but if you read the main topic you will see it had a mixed response so...

I was really Interested in it untill I played it, lol. It just felt really old. Even for an indie, the animation was almost inexcusably bad. I feel like if it had a less stiff animation system it would have been more enjoyable. It's just so clunky.
I didn't know until close to launch that you had very little control over the camera either and that it was like the old RE games where the camera was fixed most of the time, kind of makes some of the "but it renders the world twice" stuff less impressive.

If one defender matters then Shawn (driedmangoes) would be the end all of any discussion on the Sony side.
Xbox people talking about it in it's thread defended the MC score.
I was thinking more of the "other" defender on the Sony side.

I usually buy physical so I can re-sell back out, well that's a bummer.
I installed it, my teenager played it and he enjoyed it. Hopefully it makes good money for them on PS, since I like to see companies trying something new and the whole simulating two game worlds at once is a pretty non-standard thing.

September 2021 for PS5 release. Probably going to wait until it hits PS+ though.
I could play this game since its free on gameplass. But I have so much game I want to play on gamepass, I can NOT get a new game & have games for at least 1-2 years worth to play with currrent library.
