The Official: Automotive enthusiast thread

I'm desperately waiting for Harry to get his Lotus Emira. I don't want to watch anyone else drive it or hear anything about it until he gets his and does a video on it.

I swear they said mid to late April for him. I hope it's soonish.

We have Casey's here and back in the Jan-March range they had a deal, spend $10 and get like .25 off per gallon. I was in on New Years and a guy in there that drives down near Chicago for work every day was filling up his truck. He had so much of a discount that he just had to pay a penny for 20 gallons of gas lol.

Well, in my case I was fueling the company truck on the corporate fuel card, but I get to swipe the rewards card for Pilot / Flying J where we fuel and earn points and coffee.

Enemy i forget if your a Chevy or molar guy, but, if you had the means and mode , without worries or regret, would you buy this?

I would 😊

Nope. My grandfather had a 69 or 70 Ford F150 which brings back bad thoughts from when I was a kid.

He caught me shoving a bunch of sticks and other stuff in the gas tank and after I got yelled at by him and my mom, I had to help take it out and clean it. I was like 6 or 7 at the time. The tank was directly behind the seat on it.

I thought you were gonna say in the tail pipe….I’ve seen someone do that with flowers to someone’s car in a parking lot, at six flags

I was doing about 85 coming home from Orlando. I'm just impressed I remembered the instagram handle from her window long enough to check it out.

I randomly saw a Litestar Pulse Autocycle the other day.

I think the idea of an enclosed motorcycle like vehicle is interesting and this niche company gave it a try in the late 80s so it's cool that enthusiasts are still driving them. It was cool to see one in town.

A Pulse is a motorcycle. It rides on 2 main automotive type wheels and tires. It has a small 8-inch outrigger wheel on each side, so it actually has 4 wheels. Because it only has one of these outriggers in contact with the road at any time, it is classified in most states as a 3-wheel motorcycle. Its a fairly large vehicle with a 120-inch wheelbase and an overall length of 192 inches and weighs about 1,000 lbs. It seats 2 people, one in front of the other and has a small package shelf behind the passenger seat.

It has a either a 'butterfly' type steering wheel or a round steering wheel like a car, with clutch, brakes and gas pedals on the floor just like a car. It has windshield wipers, signal lights, and almost everything found on a normal car. The gear shift is located on the right armrest and shifts sequentially just like a motorcycle. First gear is straight back once and the other gears are found by pushing forward for each shift, just like a motorcycle. The brakes and master cylinder are automotive type. The fuel tank is in the rear and holds about 3 gallons.

New park location at the new ALDI warehouse still being finished. Getting ready to run to Commerce, GA to bring more stuff back to the new stores openning all over the place.

Will be glad when this warehouse is fully operational. Maybe July. This is a crazy amount of driving, but the pay makes my old job look like a joke.
