Fiona is back. All they had to do was reset the computer.
You’re saying they had to just “turn it off and back on again”? Like pull the cable off the battery?Fiona is back. All they had to do was reset the computer.

Glad she’s fixed, when do you get her back?
And my moms car we call her Fiona too
You can pick up driving a manual in a day. I’m sure you’ll pick it up in less than a handful of tries. Every car is different though, the catch/grab/bite of the clutch can be anywhere, some cars are communicative and you go by feel whilst others have none and you just remember where. My brothers fiesta st lacks said communication and the catch is hella highI was looking at a used Kia Soul, but it a manual. I was wondering if anyone had thoughts on learning manual shift? I don't imagine it's that hard and probaby owning one you can spend a lot of time with would be the best way.
Yes, I do have training on manual shifting big trucks which will help, but semi truck transmissions don't respond the same way. It may turn out trying the car will be lot's easier.
Also, for many years, I've been driving modern Autoshifter Semis, so I'm really rusty on it.

All modern day cars have synchros, no double clutching needed. You’d have to look for a really old car to find one without one.Yeah, I think you shift with the Tach, but at some point you 'know' the car and can tell it's in the RPM range to shift?
I'm curious about the Downshift. In a truck Downshifting is a pain in the ass to learn. You have to double-clutch. Or basically clutch to Neutral, Rev the RPMs, then clutch to the lower gear. My understanding is Cars have a Syncronize feature so you don't have to do that.

BMW has had another subscription scheme backfire. But vehicle feature subscriptions are an unstoppable trend. Which ones might we actually pay for?www.autoblog.com
